Easter Teen Event at the A.R.E.
COMMUNICATE! Clearly and Creatively
March 20 to 23, 2008

Calling all 13 to 17 year olds! One of our most important gifts is often one of our biggest stumbling blocks: our ability to communicate. Whether we use our voices or not, we are communicating at all times - with a look, a posture, and even how we walk.

Join us for this two-day, three-night workshop lead by A.R.E. Camp's Misty Vredenburg. Using Cayce principles such as meditation, dream exploration and tapping into our unique creative self, Misty will guide us in viewing how it is we are communicating with the world around us. We will be heading home with a set of tools to help communicate and connect better with the world around us. If you ever find yourself unable to express something just right - to your friends, teachers, parents or anyone else you meet - this is the place to be this Easter!

About Misty Vredenburg:

Misty has served at A.R.E. Camp in many capacities for over 13 years: counselor, cook, gardener and program director. She has performed and taught theater for over 20 years, specializing in improvisation. Most recently, she has been co-facilitating Waldorf Workshop weekends with Barbara Dewey.

Time and Dates:
The Easter Conference begins with registration between 3:30 and 4:30pm on Thursday March 20, 2008 and runs thru 10am on Sunday March 23rd, 2008.

Optional Event:
Parents and kids alike please join us for a noon lunch buffet at Nawabs, a local Indian restaurant - and an end of youth event tradition! Bring an extra $15 for this event!

Food and Lodging:
Housing and all meals are covered in the price. We will be staying in A.R.E.'s Gibbons House, located behind the hospital building. The youth will be supervised by experienced counselors. On Sunday morning we will be hosting a breakfast buffet to benefit the youth program - this helps us to keep costs low and hopefully to provide some scholarships to other children who need help to join our programs.
