Enough
of all the scientific jargon about cones and light wave vibrations, and how our
eyes, brains, and nervous systems process color. It is our reaction that is
important as we choose the colors in our lives. Do we love the color of a new
dress or newly painted room? How does the color make us feel? The answer should
be, I love this color because it is energizing, peaceful, fun, inspiring, or
whatever word best fits how you feel. If you think you don’t care about colors,
you may be surprised to learn about their affect at the level of your
subconscious.

Edgar
Cayce spoke about certain greens that could almost make a person ill and others
that could heal. There are myriads of books about color and there are color
therapists. The bottom line is to have colors around us that make us feel good
and that support our personal activities which could include entertaining, love
making, eating, sleeping, reading, playing, meditating, as well as all the
various aspects of our work life.

Color
affects us in different ways depending on our prior life experiences, our personality,
and our physical as well as emotional health. When we are depressed, or ill, or
stressed, our reaction to color and our choice of color will be quite different
from when we are feeling vital and engaged in a productive life. If a
particular color does not make your heart sing, don’t use it.

My
office is painted in, to put it mildly, an unusual color scheme, and it does
make my heart sing. The first few days after a friend and I completed this
amazing transformation, I repeatedly returned to the room for the joy I felt as
I gazed at the colors. Even now when I walk into this room I smile and my
energy lifts.

As an
interior designer, I find it much easier to choose colors for other people than
for myself. This color scheme took me over a year to finalize. First I thought
about tone on tone stripes, a look I have always loved both in fabric and on
walls. The contrast of the matte and the gloss provides subtle yet sufficient
contrast to be interesting. But no, this would not do for a room where I could
be spending many hours each day. All those stripes would be too busy, even in
one color.

Another
consideration to which I gave serious attention was using relatively small, different
colored stripes while keeping white for the background. I would create my own
custom color wheel. That idea never got off the ground since, as I recall, it
seemed like way too much work as well as being too busy. So the months passed. I
was searching for a creative answer to my color conundrum while working in an
ordinary white space that was anything but inspiring or energizing.

Then,
I remembered the happiest space I ever painted. This was my boys’ bedroom in
the mid 70’s. I had purchased a fabulous bunk bed for them–a fire engine red
elephant with trappings of yellow, blue and green. That was it! I used those
four colors, one for each wall, to paint their room. Poor things–they probably
never slept. What did I know then?

Today,
my office is four colors and not for the faint of heart to be sure. These
colors are pure–without tint or hue to lighten or gray their impact. Entering,
I am greeted by a violet wall that is so yummy it feels like a hug. It was many
weeks before I could bear to hang artwork on that wall because it would cover
the gorgeous color. The adjacent window wall is brilliant reddish orange, a
beautiful frame for the trees, marsh and water beyond. I sit at my desk facing
the most uplifting of vibrant lemon yellows and the remaining wall is a
perfect, gem-like turquoise. I love my office colors and they make my heart
sing –- Color Me Happy.

Predictions from Edgar Cayce: Erupting Volcanoes and Multiple Earthquakes

Predictions from Edgar Cayce: Erupting Volcanoes and Multiple Earthquakes

By John Van Auken

We know that Edgar Cayce correctly predicted the stock market crash and Great Depression of
1929, the beginning of World War II, the shifting of the Earth’s magnetic poles
(which scientists confirmed the beginnings of on a 2004 NOVA TV show titled,
“Magnetic Storm”), and the coming of El Nino and La Nina, stating that changing
temperatures of the deep currents in the Pacific Ocean would affect weather
patterns. Now many people are closely
watching the volcanoes Vesuvius and Pelee because of Cayce’s warning about their
unseen connection with the fault lines along the southern coast of California.

There is a growing sense that volcanic activity and the quaking shifts of the massive
tectonic plates of the Earth are interconnected around the planet. When an
earthquake or eruption occurs in one part of the planet, it is followed by an
eruption or quake in another part, sometimes on the opposite side of the planet.
Cayce’s visions seem to confirm this. For example, he predicted that when we
see noticeable eruptions in the long-quiet volcanoes of Vesuvius or Pelee, then three months later there
will major earthquakes along the southern coast of California that will cause
an inundation of the land from the Salt Lake in Utah to the southern portions
of Nevada.

Mt. Vesuvius
is the infamous volcano that destroyed the ancient city of Pompeii in 79 A.D.
It is located east of Naples, Italy. It is considered to be one of the most
dangerous volcanoes in the world. Mt.
Pelee is in an island arc of the Caribbean called Martinique, in the Lesser
Antilles between Puerto Rico and Venezuela. In 1902 the explosion of this
volcano was one of the worst in recorded history. It is near the city of St.
Pierre, which was destroyed in the 1902 eruption, and then rebuilt. Pelee
erupted again from 1929 to 1932. It is among the deadliest volcanoes on the
planet.

If either
one of these two volcanoes erupts, Cayce predicts that earthquakes will follow three
months later in the southern coast of California, and these quakes will cause a
damaging flood from Utah to southern Nevada.

Amazingly,
Edgar Cayce tied these prophecies to the prophecy in the Bible made by the
archangel Gabriel to the prophet Daniel, stating that “These changes in the
Earth will come to pass, for the ‘time and times and half times’ [Gabriel’s
timetable] are at an end, and there begin the periods of readjustments.” Cayce
sees these Earth changes are the “birth pains” to a coming new era when the
Earth will enter a long period of higher consciousness and soul growth, in
which brotherly and sisterly care for all people will prevail. Following the
changes, which he sees as cleansings, he sees a golden age for the inhabitants
of our blue and white planet.

Confucius Say…
By John Van Auken

Among the many famous historical persons, Confucius ranks near the top of the list. His wisdom is quoted in today. Here are a few of his many insightful quotes.

Confucius say:

Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Confucius say:

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

Confucius say:

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.

Confucius say:

Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.

This last saying foreshadows Jesus’ Golden Rule: Whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets. (Matt. 7:12)

Confucius was born over 2,500 years ago, in 551 BC, and yet we are still talking about him today. Even the Edgar Cayce readings include this ancient sage in their teachings. Cayce actually recommended some Confucian books to Mr. 900, the guy who got the most readings from Cayce, 437! Even more impressive, three Cayce readings mention Confucius’ soul/spirit in a list of soul from the other side that would help Cayce give some particularly difficult readings. Here’s one of them:

“The forces gathered here may be used in gaining this concept. As ye seek, ask first if all these are present: Lamech, Confucius, Tamah, Halaliel, Hebe, Ra, Ra-Ta, John.” (5756-10)

Of course, the Edgar Cayce readings where open to all teachings that presented one God and one collective of the Children of God, as in these two:

Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.“Whether in Buddhism, Mohammedanism, Confucianism, Platoism, or what—these have been added to much from that as was given by Jesus in His walk in Galilee and Judea. ‘Know, O Israel, the Lord thy God is one!’ whether this is directing one of the Confucius' thought, Brahman thought, Buddha thought, Mohammedan thought; these are as teachers or representatives.” (364-9).

“Again in that of Confucius, who gave to his peoples in his day the beginning of an understanding of the wisdom of [the] Divine.” (900-15)

In one fascinating reading, Mr. 900 described a scene in Confucius’ life that related to overcoming fear by doing, by living your soul’s purpose. Here’s that passage. As you read, remember that Mr. 900 is speaking, not Cayce; but Cayce does reply in the affirmative to 900’s perspective.

“So long as I bend my will to serve creation, to serve Man, that the latter may the better achieve eternal life (as in “feed His lambs”), so long am I immune to harm—nothing shall hurt or stop me. I lean upon the unseen arm that guides me. Confucius remained unafraid when he ran into a gang of robbers. Others were killed, he was not. ‘I have a mission to perform, a message to give and I will be protected until it is accomplished,’ he said. In spite of dangers and risk he came thru.” (900-243)

Finally, Cayce once asked a religious questioner to consider the following:

“Why the teachings of Confucius or his axioms and lessons, and those of Jesus, are parallel.” (1473-1)

Let’s close a few more of the sage’s views:

Confucius say:

It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get.

Confucius say:

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.

Confucius say:

He who learns but does not think, is lost! He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger.

Confucius say:

If you shoot for the stars and hit the moon, it's OK. But you've got to shoot for something. A lot of people don't even shoot.

Confucius say:

I hear, I know. I see, I remember. I do, I understand.

Confucius say:

Heaven means to be one with God.

Psoriasis Pioneer Pagano Headlines Russian Medical Conference
Pagano" src="http://www.edgarcayce.org/uploadedImages/ARE/About_Us/Blog/ARE_Blog/drPagano_Moscow.jpg?n=7238" />John O. A. Pagano, DC, a 50-year member of the A.R.E. and psoriasis researcher for over 40 years, gave
a presentation on treating psoriasis before the Russian Academy of Science in Moscow in October,
2009. The entire two-day conference was focused on both traditional and non-traditional methods of
treating this often-devastating skin condition, which afflicts an estimated three to four percent of the
Russian population (about double the rate in the United States).

The roster of speakers at the conference included many notable figures in the Russian health field,
Pagano said. “They were a pretty tough act to follow,” he added. “But it did not deter me, because I
had something to offer that they lacked. It was a new, natural approach to the disease with
undeniable proof of its effectiveness.”

Day one of the conference was presented to health professionals, scientists, and the press. While the
majority of the speakers discussed the latest pharmaceutical approaches and medical trends for
treatment of psoriasis, Pagano laid out his program, which uses no drugs. He added that his approach
is not meant to be a replacement for medicine, but rather an alternative if more traditional methods
are ineffective.

Pagano’s program is based on his “three Ds” – diet, detoxification, and determination. He described
the importance of a high-alkaline, low-acidic diet, herb teas, massage with certain oils, detoxification
procedures, spinal adjustments that activate the immune system, proper eliminations, and healthful
attitudes. He also stressed that time and patience are essential elements for success, along with the
patient’s willingness to take responsibility for their own recovery. He said, “If a patient practiced the
three Ds, it is possible that he can rid himself of every lesion, rash, and disfigurement to the point that
he would never know he ever had it!

This statement “sent shockwaves through the audience,” he added. “They never heard of such a
concept before. But this time, it was not only words that were thrown at them; I had the proof!”
Pagano’s patient, Katya Varlamova, 26, accompanied him to the conference as his “proof” and
interpreter. She had suffered from a severe case of psoriatic arthritis for 12 years, but “had been
healed after following the regimen faithfully for six months.” She followed Pagano’s presentation by
sharing her story of transformation from psoriasis covering 80 percent of her body to being completely
blemish-free.

In his talk, Pagano made it clear that the inspiration for his more than 40 years of work in this field was
the Edgar Cayce readings. In a 1942 reading, when asked if there was an absolute cure for psoriasis,
Cayce replied, “Most of this is found in diet. There is a cure. It requires patience and persistence – and
right thinking also.” (2455-2) Pagano combined this and other information found in the readings with
his own observations to form the Cayce-Pagano diet. “It seemed to be my life’s purpose to prove the
truth of that statement,” he said.

What did Edgar Cayce say about 2012?

What did Edgar Cayce say about 2012?
By Kevin J. Todeschi

Just what did Edgar Cayce say about the topic? Bottom line is that the actual date “2012” is not
discussed by the readings. However, the readings do offer information on our progression into the
Aquarian Age and what this transition between ages may be all about.

The readings state that eventually one hallmark of this New Age could be described simply as “purity.”
(1602-3) It is important to point out that we’re not going to wake up on December 22, 2012 (the day
after the Mayan Calendar ends) and think “Oh my gosh – we’ve entered an age of purity.” Instead,
there is a gradual transition between ages. It’s quite possible that it will be a generation or two from
now that humankind finally looks back and says, “You know, it appears that the real change started to
occur around the end of 2012…”

Another important factor to keep in mind is that in all likelihood December 2012 will come and go and
many individuals will be convinced that “Nothing happened.” The world might look very much the
same on December 22 as it did on December 21. But the Edgar Cayce readings suggest quite a different
possibility. In fact Cayce states that only those who really accept the responsibility of this new age and
actually begin to apply it “Will even become aware of what's going on about them!”

In addition to purity, the readings suggest that the Age of Aquarius is ultimately one of globalization in
terms of understanding that each individual is responsible for every other individual. Ultimately, a time
will come in our collective history when we become cognizant of this fact. Nations will understand their
responsibility to all other nations and the citizens who live in those nations. One of the concepts
contained in the Cayce readings is that ultimately everyone in the earth is a brother or a sister. And a
conscious realization of that fact is part of the promise of the next age.

In addition to globalization and purity, the Edgar Cayce readings also state that spiritual consciousness
will reach such a height of development during this period that eventually each individual will be able
to communicate directly with the Divine.

These promises of the future are still a ways off. Since there is a transitional period between ages, we
cannot expect there to be peace on earth and good will toward all perhaps even anytime soon. I think
we need to be aware that there will be set-backs. There will be ongoing challenges between nations
and people, but gradually these things will change. Because the promises of an Aquarian Age that
embody purity, globalization and our direct connection to the Divine are our collective destiny.

As the 2012 date draws near, I’m certain that we will hear more and more publicity about the topic,
with everything ranging from unrealistic expectations of heaven on earth to doom and gloom end-of-
the-world prophecies. But neither of these approaches is the premise in the Edgar Cayce readings.

Instead, we are about to undergo a gradual transition between ages. A transition in which we need to
apply those things in our personal lives that we hope to have embodied in a “New Age of Peace and
Enlightenment” or we will not experience them.

In terms of the approach to application suggested by the readings, the Cayce material contends that all
of humankind regardless of religious background or spiritual inclination can share a common ideal, and
that ideal is simply that to the best of our individual abilities and understanding we can love God, we
can love one another, and we can love ourselves. In terms of practically applying this ideal in our day to
day lives, I think Cayce would simply quote from the fruits of the spirit – faith, hope, patience,
gentleness, longsuffering, and love.

All of this is ultimately what 2012 and the New Age is going to be all about.

Economic hardships that seem to abound in America and elsewhere as we read or listen to the
news, we hear of inflation, recession, the high unemployment figures, foreclosures, and
homelessness in many parts of the world. These appear to be times of crisis similar to that of the
Great Depression of the 1930’s. We can turn to the wisdom from the psychic readings of Edgar
Cayce for insight both during and after the Depression. These insights and practical suggestions
offer us much knowledge, hope, and inspiration by which we can encounter these times.

The law of supply presupposes that all we could ever truly need will be made available to us if
we are seeking to obey the universal laws, especially that of love. Supply is merely the natural
result then of working in harmony with these other laws; we do not need to dwell on how it
works. But neither should we interfere with the workings of this law through denial. Many
people that I have talked with give much thought and energy to the belief that poverty is a virtue
and that somehow God wishes us to live in want. The readings stress that we should never be
self-indulgent with the supply, but that through the proper use of supply it becomes abundant,
infinite, and available to us as we need. Christ is stressed in the readings as an example that one
should not waste or misuse the abundance entrusted into his or her care. In the Search for God
readings, the question was asked, “Is our lack of material necessities due to the fact that we have
not first sought the Kingdom, or the lack of faith in not speaking the word?” The answer given
provides clear insight for all of us as to the economy of the law of supply:

Both. For what saith the Law? Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all things shall be
added unto thee thou hast need of! Most of us think we need a great deal more than we
do! 262-89

…what is thine ideal. What is thy purpose in life? Is it to get, through the attitude of
“Gimme—Gimme—Gimme!” or is it to give—give—give! If it is the latter, then there
should be the knowledge and security from within as given of old: “Let others do as they
may, but for me—I will know the living God.” 815-3

It would be well, in the application of self in these directions, for the entity to learn that
what is of the constructive nature is in giving. For, as ye receive, so should ye give. The
word give is the prompting of the expression of love in, “The Lord gave His son that ye,
through Him, might have life, and have it more abundantly.” 1107-1

For the same reason that food kept too long spoils, clothes held back only for “good” soon go out
of fashion, and unexpressed ideas or intuition benefit no one, so also the readings suggest that
we use that money and goods we have in hand. When we hoard for the future, we are interfering
with the flow of abundance because of our fear and lack of trust. We should trust in the Lord
and let tomorrow take care of itself.

The law of faith stresses our need to trust wholly in God at all times to supply our needs as long
as we seek to serve Him through serving others. If we are truly trusting in God we should have
no ideas of poverty, fear, or lack. The following readings urge this faith and the expectance of
abundance:

When fear of the future occurs, or fear of the past…put all such away with this prayer—
not merely by mouth, not merely by thought, but in body, in mind and in soul say: “Here
am I, Lord—Thine! Keep me in the way Thou would have me go, rather than in that I
might choose.” 2540-1

Q: As has been indicated…money is the root cause of the general economic unbalance of
our country. Will you give specifically the reasons for this statement and the approach
that can be made toward correction of the money order as operated today?
A: Fear on the part of those who control or direct the investing of capital into channels
that give the greater outlet of their characters of outlet. As to how this may be
corrected—it is only through patience, persistence, and a return to the trust in God, and
not in the power or the might of self. 3976-24

Remember, my children, it is the fear of the material conditions that wrecks the material
body. It is the fear of this or that, that prevents a channel from making for the greater
supply. 254-85

My first experience with the laws occurred before I had conscious knowledge of these principles.
Four years ago when I was Director of Forensics, the speech team I helped coach had won so
many trophies that they were invited to attend the National Speech Championships to be held in
Michigan. The team members worked very hard raising the money for each member to be able to
compete. After a month of earning money in every conceivable way, there was not enough, and
one student was to be left behind. I made my first economic choice involving a large donation at
that time rather than see the student stay home. Soon after we won the tournament, the local
chapter of an organization called the A.R.E. asked if I would coach their members in speech
skills. I inquired how much they could afford to pay me and it ended up being the exact amount
that I had donated to send the student to the tournament. The moment I heard the speakers from
A.R.E. talking about the philosophy of Edgar Cayce and the organization, I joined the
Association and have been active ever since with new rewards at every corner.

If we are feeling poor economically, then it probably stems from our failure to observe these
universal laws. We must choose to begin applying ourselves in such a way as to allow God to
provide us with a healing. Work, as the following individuals were told:

Know that all comes to him who puts his trust in the all-powerful influence of love and
harmony, the real poem of life, and then works like thunder for same! 2337-1

Expect much, you will obtain much! Expect little, you will obtain little! Expect nothing,
you will obtain nothing! 5325-1

Expect much, demand much; but when ye do, be willing to give much. For as ye give, or
as ye measure to others, so is it measured to thee again. This is the spiritual law, this
becomes the mental law—and the mind is the builder. 1532-1

For, he that expects nothing shall not be disappointed, but he that expects much—if he
lives and uses that in hand day by day shall be full to running over. 557-3

In all, the readings contain over 180 references to economic healing during times of challenge.
Cayce told individuals not to lose faith in the divine, or in their own abilities and talents. He
encouraged some to see the challenge as a purposeful experience that would bring them to where
they really needed to be in life. He advised helping those who were less fortunate with time,
money, prayer, or simply a listening ear. And he assured them that God had not forgotten their
needs or remained ignorant of their challenges:

Ask and ye shall receive. Knock and it shall be opened to you …The supply will come
from that storehouse that is of His building…Be thou faithful, then, guided, guarded,
directed, by Him. 294-41

From Cayce’s perspective, at least, personal challenges with finances are perhaps some of the best
opportunities to place more focus on spiritual practices, and reaffirm our connection to the divine.

An Explanation for Thanksgiving

Inspiration for Thanksgiving from the Edgar Cayce Readings

On November 20th, 1938, Edgar Cayce was asked to give a reading for
Study Group #1 on with an explanation of the true spirit of
Thanksgiving. It was a challenging time, like today, and the world was
filled with fear and uncertainty. Following is the text of Reading
3976-21. May it fill you with inspiration and a greater appreciation of
Thanksgiving. Best wishes for a very Happy Thanksgiving from Edgar
Cayce's A.R.E.

Gertrude Cayce: You will give at this time information which
may stimulate in the hearts and minds of those gathered here a greater
appreciation of the true spirit of Thanksgiving, and which may be to all those
to whom it is sent an inspiration and an explanation for Thanksgiving even in
the face of personal problems and spreading world-wide fears and hatreds that
seem to dominate so many minds today.

Edgar Cayce: Yes, we have the subject here; and many there
be that appear with the desire to give their own interpretation upon such a
subject. But rather would we choose--from the more universal need of those
here, as well as mankind everywhere that thought, that purpose, that
attribute of man's choice to show, to give thanksgiving for not only the
blessings as may be the experience of many but the fuller meaning of the
appreciation of Life itself and the opportunity which is offered to all through
same to become more and more aware of their relationship to the Creative Force
or God.

It is well that ye be reminded, then, of how--in those
periods when there were the preparations in the lives and experiences
of a
peculiar people, under unusual circumstances, in extraordinary
environments--they were reminded, not in their days of plenty but in
the days when each day
they were given only sufficient for that day, that periods were to be,
should
be, set aside when thanksgiving was to be a part of their
activity--their
remembrances for all the joys, the sorrows, the disappointments, the
hopes that
were and might be theirs if--if--they would but hold to those
promises;
relying--as it was necessary in those days, those hours, for a complete
dependence--upon the bounty of a merciful Father, who had a purpose in
the bringing out,
in the edifying, in the directing.

And today, as ye look back upon those experiences, ye--too--find thyselves chosen.

Have ye chosen Him? For as was given then, "If ye will be my people, I will
be thy God!" This is a universal experience, then. To each soul gathered
here, to each soul throughout the land, to each soul as may be in all lands:
"If ye will be My people, I will be thy God!"

Then in this land--as ye understand--when in the
experiences of a handful of those seeking a place where they might worship God
according to the dictates of their own conscience, the bounties of the land
were in such measures as to preserve their lives--then there was the
proclamation that thanksgiving must be in the mind and heart of each soul. So in this land was set the precedent that has come to mean
so much that year after year thy rulers of the several States, thy director in
the general, have kept, do keep that precedent.

Then, to all: As ye do in the spirit of true thanksgiving
come to realize, as ye find in thy daily experience with thy fellow man--he
that is unappreciative of opportunity, of care, of thought, of longsuffering,
to thine own mind becomes very little. What, then, will ye - as servants--yea, as children of a
living God, of a living promise to thee--do about such a period, such a day?

For the day itself is as nothing. Remember how He as the
Teacher of teachers gave that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the
Sabbath!

Then remember, Thanksgiving is thy opportunity to show thy
appreciation to thy friend, thy home, thy mother, thy children--yea, most of
all to thy God! As it may be truly said--of all the days for man's opportunity,
of man's making, of man's concern, truly Thanksgiving should be nearer and
dearer to the hearts of those who are appreciative of Life and its
opportunities, under any experience! For remember, it was instituted not under plenty but under
needs.

What is the need then of man in this day of disturbed mind,
of anxieties?

That ye may reconsecrate, rededicate - each of you - thy
heart, thy body, thy purpose, to the living God! This is the message then that should be to all.

Let this day of Thanksgiving be not only that wherein to
enjoy that which may satiate the body, that which may make for the gratifying
of appetites of the body, but that day when each of you may give thanks to God
for being alive--with the opportunities to raise thy voice in prayer, in
praise, in thanksgiving for the love He hath shown, that He showers upon thee
day by day!

And as ye do this--in the spirit of love, in the spirit of
truth, of patience, of longsuffering--ye will receive that awareness of His
closeness to thee. And this will bring you to the greater knowledge, the
greater understanding of what He would have thee do.Let thy life, thy experience then, be not without purpose.

What do ye then purpose to do with His promises to thee?

In this land ye may give praise for freedom of speech, for
the opportunities to raise thy voice in whatever way and manner ye choose. For know, as He taught, the principles of life are that as
ye do unto the least of thy brethren ye do unto thy Maker. Then, as ye give thanks, as ye give praise to thy friends
for kindnesses, for gentlenesses, for those things that make thy experience
more bearable in a cruel world--under circumstances oft where a troubled
heart is made lighter--how much greater in this day, then, that is set aside
by thy laws, by the judgments of thy governors and of thy president--how much more ye would give thanks to God!

For it is in Him indeed that ye live, that ye move and have
thy being. Let thy heart then be glad. And as has been indicated, let each raise his voice in
thanksgiving for all that has, that may come to pass in the experience of each soul that prays, "Thy will, O God, be done in me--now. Not as I will, but as Thou would have me go."

Pray that peace may be in the minds and hearts of those who
direct the destiny of the many, throughout the world. For they are not in power
of themselves, but that ye--too--may learn a lesson to do, and to seek to do,
the will of thy Father; and not to do that which is IN direct contradiction to
that of praise to thy Lord, thy God.

Keep then that Day in praise, in thanksgiving, in such ways,
such a manner that ye show to thy conscience that what ye worship as thy God is
aware of thy appreciation of life!

Inspiration for Thanksgiving from the Edgar Cayce Readings

On November 20th, 1938, Edgar Cayce was asked to give a reading for Study Group #1 on with an explanation of the true spirit of Thanksgiving. It was a challenging time, like today, and the world was filled with fear and uncertainty. Following is the text of Reading 3976-21. May it fill you with inspiration and a greater appreciation of Thanksgiving. Best wishes for a very Happy Thanksgiving from Edgar Cayce's A.R.E.

Edgar Cayce: Yes, we have the subject here; and many there
be that appear with the desire to give their own interpretation upon such a
subject. But rather would we choose--from the more universal need of those
here, as well as mankind everywhere that thought, that purpose, that
attribute of man's choice to show, to give thanksgiving for not only the
blessings as may be the experience of many but the fuller meaning of the
appreciation of Life itself and the opportunity which is offered to all through
same to become more and more aware of their relationship to the Creative Force
or God.

It is well that ye be reminded, then, of how--in those
periods when there were the preparations in the lives and experiences of a
peculiar people, under unusual circumstances, in extraordinary environments--they were reminded, not in their days of plenty but in the days when each day
they were given only sufficient for that day, that periods were to be, should
be, set aside when thanksgiving was to be a part of their activity--their
remembrances for all the joys, the sorrows, the disappointments, the hopes that
were and might be theirs if--if--they would but hold to those promises;
relying--as it was necessary in those days, those hours, for a complete dependence--upon the bounty of a merciful Father, who had a purpose in the bringing out,
in the edifying, in the directing.

The Continuing Search for Edgar Cayce’s Mother Pool
by Sidney D. Kirkpatrick

In my biography of Edgar Cayce, and in two previous articles for Venture Inward, my
wife and I wrote at length about Edgar Cayce’s search for the Mother Pool, an enormous
untapped sea of oil which was identified in the readings as being located in the vicinity of San
Saba, Texas. Edgar and various partners, on a few occasions in the 1920s, undertook to find this
oil with the goal of raising funds to build a hospital where patients could go to receive Cayce
health treatments. Due to various forms of sabotage and insufficient funds, Edgar Cayce and his
partners were never able to reach the Mother Pool. After Cayce’s death, numerous attempts were
made to follow in his footsteps without the benefit of personal readings by Cayce.

The decision to try to use the Cayce trance readings to find the legendary Mother Pool
was a bold and risky move. Cayce himself was well aware of not only the potential good that
might come from such an endeavor, but also the risk. Over the course of his career, Cayce
offered both advice and caution to those who would follow in his footsteps. Before even giving
his first oil reading in 1919, he consulted the source about the morality and ethics of using
psychic information to find oil, natural gas, and minerals. After all, experience had taught him
that giving certain types of non-medical readings didn’t generate much long-term good, and
could actually be quite harmful to not just himself but those who obtained them. Using psychic
power to gamble at the race track or poker tables amounted to taking an unfair advantage over
others. The same could be said for using psychic power to locate buried treasure. Hidden gold or
other valuables didn’t necessarily belong to the person or people who went seeking it. The source,
however, reassured Cayce that using the readings to help people find oil and natural gas could be
a good thing. Petroleum, or riches from the earth, belonged to the people who owned the land it
could be found on. Nothing was wrong with the notion of helping people—for a fee or
percentage—to locate it, just as Edgar’s grandfather, a douser, had used his talents to help
farmers find water.

Over the years, Cayce went on to give several hundred oil readings, many of which
survive in the Cayce vault at A.R.E. headquarters, and many others which have been lost. The
first requests came from people and companies looking for help drilling their own wells. The
fantastic success that came from giving these early oil readings—several notable individuals
became millionaires and one became a multi-millionaire—inspired Cayce to join friends and
family to create his own oil prospecting partnership. Its purpose, from Cayce’s point of view, was
to generate income to build a hospital where the readings could be used to heal the sick and help
build a community that could, as he said, “Manifest the Love of God and Man.”

With this in mind, the Cayce Petroleum Company drilled at least two wells in central
Texas in 1921, leased thousands of acres where he intended to drill, and gave readings on many
different locations where earlier readings indicated oil could be found. But by 1924, Cayce had
all but abandoned his dream of funding a hospital with revenue from oil prospecting. Time had
proven that the Cayce readings seemed to help others in their search for oil, but while they
pinpointed oil for Cayce, he and his partners could not seem to get to it and bring it to the
surface. In several instances, his company was underfunded. At other times, outside interests
resorted to devious means to undermine his work. Hugh Lynn Cayce often told the story of how
one oil driller hired by Cayce dropped a tomb stone into a well shaft to make it look as if he had
fulfilled his contract by drilling “down to the granite.” There was also suspicion that the sabotage
occurred so that the Cayce leases and money to renew them would run out before they struck oil,
and then the saboteurs could step in and find the oil for themselves. This may be one reason that
in trance, Cayce instructed them to purchase 99 year leases, one of several suggestions that were
ignored. On a more spiritual level, what may also have been true, however, was that Cayce and
his partners did not share a psychic “accord” which the readings said was necessary if success
was to be realized on a material level.

Oilman and one-time Cayce partner Curtis Willmott, perhaps more than anyone
connected to Cayce’s oil ventures, understood this principal in both the abstract and literal sense.
“All hands,” he told Edgar, “have to be pulling together with a common purpose.” Moreover,
their common purpose couldn’t be the desire for riches, but “God’s purpose,” or the “First
Purpose.” As Edgar himself later acknowledged: “There are cosmic or...[Divine] laws just as we
have a penal law. [Treasure hunters must give up the idea of finding great wealth until] each one
has come to the consciousness of making himself right with the Creative Forces”—a provision
repeated many more times in the readings in years to come. The moment the “material” side of
life takes over from the spiritual,” the source admonished, “conditions are materially turned,” and
the seekers will lose, and literally become the enemy of one another.

Over the last several years, interested Cayce followers have been drawn together to
support the search which initially began with David Mangum (a member of A.R.E. Houston)
with the help of his son, Darin, who were subsequently joined by a Canadian and US based oil
company, Integrative Energy (IE). IE, whose principal Rick Hatala is a long time member of the
A.R.E, has been overseeing the project with the help and support of a small, highly dedicated
management team and staff, board of directors, and board of advisors. Among the company’s
unique features is their intention that profits are not only to be shared by the investors, but also to
be used to develop clean alternative and new energy sources, provide education in the form of an
Integrative Leadership & Learning Center, and to help fund Edgar Cayce’s Association for
Research and Enlightenment (the A.R.E.).

Using the Cayce readings to locate the correct drilling location and obtaining the
necessary leases to drill on property identified in the readings has turned out to be a daunting
task with many internal and external conflicts that were resolved by adhering and acting in
accord with universal principles of relationship. In Integrative Energy’s most recent drilling
attempt last August, several locations where Cayce had previously drilled had been identified,
but the specific leases that Cayce Petroleum drilled on in the 1920’s, could not be acquired. The
company then relied on leading edge technologies to find nearby locations that might contain
geological fractures which would, IE believed, connect them to the same Mother Pool discussed
in the readings. Although in their first attempt they found oil, it was not in commercial quantities.

The lessons learned from the most recent drilling attempts has resulted in the team going
back to conduct research in old land files, maps, the Cayce readings, and many other sources.
The goal was to identify a new location—one more directly linked to where the readings
indicated oil would be found. They now believe they may have identified several locations
recommended by the readings, and are in the process of obtaining any leases on locations they
don’t already have. This next well will be funded jointly by Integrative Energy and investors
buying an interest in the Cayce well itself, with a continuing interest held by past IE investors.

If you would like to learn more about Edgar Cayce’s oil years, you can download a free
copy of our booklet, “Riches from the Earth,” at www.integrativeenergyusa.com/cayce.

As both investors, and supporters of the Cayce work, my wife Nancy and I are waiting in
earnest for drilling to begin again. We desire, like so many Cayce supporters, to see the readings
once again be proven out and the Cayce legacy strengthened, and to see profits from oil go,
perhaps for the first time, to a community that will use them for the betterment of mankind.

We have become so accustomed to change that we no longer recognize it when it happens. Ours is
the age of the worldwide web, interactive social networks, and virtual reality. We possess the ability to
find the answer to virtually any question at the touch of a button. Our grocery store checkout lines
read prices with lasers, we don’t have to even leave our home to buy virtually any product or service
online, and all 14,000 Edgar Cayce readings are available instantaneously on the worldwide web.
Whether in medicine, relationships, technology, ecological-awareness, or internationalism, the earth
today is very different than it was even 10-15 years ago.

There are wars and rumors of war broadcast around the globe in the blink of an eye. We hear of floods
and famine and hate-crimes as they occur; and a day doesn’t pass when we don’t see renewed
evidence of gang-wars or drugs or our inhumanity to one another. But all of this information has
become so common that we may often simply shrug our shoulders, change the channel, or turn the
page. In many places, the world has become more fractured than ever before, as politics, race,
sexuality, culture and especially religion divide us. Countless thousands of individuals have been killed,
are dying, or have given up all sense of hope. The dis-eases of our time have crippled bodies, tortured
minds, or imprisoned souls. And yet, in spite of the fact that change is all about us, some of us
continue to wait for the Big One as evidence of “changing times.”

On a more positive front, our age of change has also had more life-affirming ramifications. Many
events have been hope-renewing: the collapse of Communism, the formation of the European
Economic Community, a renewed sense of hope in solving such issues as the oil crisis, the healthcare
crisis, and the ever-growing awareness that we must bind together as one planet to heal the ecological
world we call home. There has even been a renewed sense of faith in God for hundreds of thousands.
We are now allies and friends with those we once fought. We have the technology and the desire to
bind together in the face of natural or man-made disaster, helping those who have been impacted
with food lifts, medical supplies, and restoring hope.

Many changes are underway that seem to suggest our potential unity as one human family. Actually,
more than anything else this is what the Cayce readings suggest is at the heart of our collective future.

You often hear someone discuss the fact that they can feel energy. Sometimes, a very sensitive
person may become uncomfortable in an antique store, sensing the various energy signatures
[vibrations] coming from everything from the silverware to the furniture. Perhaps what they are
feeling is predecessor energy. This is the energy that has been imbedded in an item that was owned
by another person. Some people love how old antique furniture feels, others find it quite
uncomfortable.

Other people can become exceptionally uncomfortable in homes were someone died a violent death,
there was terrible fighting as a precursor to a divorce or terrible physical, mental, emotional or spiritual
abuse took place over a long period of time. Those sensitive people probably will not be able to
purchase a house like this unless they use the tools provided below, to actually clear that terrible
energy and heal that house. Other people will not specifically feel it, but will find themselves affected
by this powerful predecessor energy.

Can predecessor energy affect you? Absolutely, of course the energy of other people can affect you.
The classic example is the person who buys a house and feels like it is haunted, as if something
happened in those rooms that cannot be explained. He or she can feel it. Ask any seasoned real estate
agent and he or she will tell you that the darkness that exists in some homes can definitely be felt.
One agent would not stay inside a listed home during an open house because it felt so haunted to her.

Some people love antique jewelry, they love the design, the old fashioned jewels and the fact that
each piece is unique. Great, but what if the previous owner of that jewelry was murdered, or died a
tragic death, or was wearing it when something terrible happened to them? What if they wore it while
several things happened to them? What if the memory of the difficulties of that person’s life was so
great that even family members did not want to own it? That is precisely why it ended on consignment
with a fine jeweler, so that it could be sold to someone else.

You enter the shop and see this lovely bracelet, or ring or pendant. It looks so lovely on you that you
purchase it. Probably, you never even washed it in warm soapy water before you used it. The jeweler
may have brightened up the gold and the stones and that would have been it. Over time, as you wear
it occasionally, you do not notice that various difficulties begin to happen to you while you are wearing
that piece of jewelry. You may or may not ever make the connection between the piece of jewelry
and your difficulties. This happened to a lady who purchased a gorgeous emerald and diamond ring. It
took 10 years to figure out how toxic that ring had become for her.

You buy a piece of furniture from someone who lost everything they owned because they went
bankrupt. You get a really good deal. You never notice that from that day forward, you have increasing
difficulties financially. Probably, you would not have ‘washed’ the furniture or desk, or chair, or
energetically cleaned it in any way.

This can happen to cars as well. All kinds of things happen to cars and happen inside cars. Get a feel for
the car on every level before you purchase it and then work on cleaning that vehicle physically and
energetically. Millions of people inherit things from positive and negative family members. People buy
used items and people buy items made from recycled things. The issue of clearing any item of
negative energy is exceptionally important. This is not to make anyone feel paranoid, but you wash
your hands, your food and your body because of the negativity you pick up in one day of living.
Imagine what a piece of jewelry, furniture, car or house would have picked up in decades of use.
When do these things get really, really cleaned physically and spiritually?

The next question is, how do you clean items as large as a house or as tiny as a ring? Part 2 will address
this important question.

Did Famed Psychic Edgar Cayce Once Locate Amelia Earhart?

More than 70 years ago, a young female pilot by the name of Amelia Earhart captured
the imagination of much of the world by becoming an aviation pioneer and excelling in
a field that had once been limited to only men. Because of her charisma and her
courage in breaking down barriers, she became an inspiration to countless individuals.
Her story—now brought to the big screen with Hilary Swank in the starring role—will
undoubtedly once again inspire and capture the imaginations of thousands.

Earhart disappeared just before her fortieth birthday along with her navigator, Fred
Noonan, during a failed attempt to circumnavigate the globe. Many of her
accomplishments are noted by history. She gained international fame with a number of
firsts: she was the first woman to receive the Distinguished Flying Cross; she was the
first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean; she founded an organization for
female pilots; she wrote best-selling books about her flying adventures; and, she was a
faculty member of Purdue University’s Aviation Department. What may not be so well
known is that famed psychic Edgar Cayce was asked to locate her three days after her
disappearance.

Earhart and Noonan were nearly three-quarters of the way around the globe when the
plane disappeared. Their intended destination had been a small stretch of land in the
Pacific known as Howland Island. In fact, a United States Coast Guard vessel had been
stationed on Howland to guide their plane onto the tiny island. What is known is that
the Coast Guard vessel did receive several communications from Earhart’s plane as it
neared the island but, for whatever reason, Earhart and Noonan could not hear
transmissions sent back from the Coast Guard—the plane was flying “blind” in the
middle of the Pacific. One of Earhart’s last transmissions was that gas was running low.
When the Coast Guard lost track of her plane on July 2, 1937, Amelia Earhart’s disappearance became
world news.

On July 5, 1937, Mrs. [1293], a member of Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E., professional astrologer,
and an acquaintance of George Putnam (Earhart’s husband), requested a reading to
help locate Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan. The request given to the sleeping Cayce
was as follows:

“You will have before you the request from [1293], for information regarding
locating Amelia Earhart who according to radio reports on July 2, 1937, was
approximately 100 miles from Howland Island in the South Pacific Ocean, in her
plane. You will locate the plane as of this time and then trace it to its present
position, giving specific directions for locating this plane now. You will answer
the questions regarding this.”

As soon as the sleeping Cayce began the reading he noted that conditions for Earhart
and Noonan were “rather serious” but that both were still alive. Cayce suggested that
the two could be found if a ship followed the reef that extended from Howland Island
in a northwesterly direction for approximately 100 miles. When Cayce was asked,
“What is the present condition of Amelia Earhart and her companion [George
Noonan]?” the reply came: “Amelia Earhart … [is] much better than the companion; for
the companion has been panicky…”

When asked about the condition of the plane, Cayce replied that it was no longer
flyable: “It is broken up somewhat, but this as we find is more from the attempt in the
landing when gas was gone than from anything else; though to be sure, the winds and
the inability to stabilize same has made all very out of order; not able to proceed even
with gas.”

In terms of their supplies, Cayce stated that there was “mighty little” of either food or
water. When asked about their chances for recovery, Cayce replied that the conditions
were growing worse all the time but that, because of rescue attempts already set in
motion, the best possibility for recovery would be by the next morning, provided
rescue attempts continued along the same path “in the right direction.”

For weeks, a fleet of planes scoured the area looking for any signs of the aircraft
without success. Finally, on July 18, 1937, the search was called off. It was feared that
Noonan and Earhart had perished and lay somewhere beneath the Pacific.

However, George Putnam, had not given up hope. On July 31, 1937, Mrs. [1293] sent a
wire to Edgar Cayce stating that Putnam was still very interested in Cayce continuing
the search:

“Mr. Putnam very sorry cannot come to Virginia Beach but would appreciate
very much your doing whatever possible without him. He has confidence in
your work and any report will have much bearing on his future plans. Please
phone, wire or write information to [1293] at my home."

A follow-up reading was given the next day, on August 1, 1937. The suggestion given
to the sleeping Cayce was, as follows:

You will have before you the desire of George Putnam for further information
regarding his wife, Amelia Earhart, as requested through Mrs. [1293] of N.Y., and
the information given through this channel on July 5, 1937. You will give any
further information which will be helpful at this time, and answer the questions
that may be asked.

Cayce immediately responded with the fact that it was too late. He stated that Earhart
had lasted until July 21, 1937, before succumbing to the elements. Apparently Noonan
had died earlier, as the sleeping Cayce noted that Earhart perished alone. In an attempt
to pin-point the location of the body with a little more accuracy and offer what help he
could to Putnam, Cayce added that her body was located “between eighty-nine and
ninety miles northwest from her intended destination” … [of] Howland Island. Upon
receiving the information, Mrs. [1293] replied:

“Sad as the news is, I feel your last communication is all too true and that
Amelia is gone. I held out hopes for quite a while but the time-element was so
long to have survived three weeks seems almost incredible. And to think that the
fleet of planes gave up the search on the 18th and she evidently lived until the
21st.

“I shall somehow get the news to George Putnam when I can although the man is
so terribly stricken, yet trying very hard to carry on. He has almost nightly
sessions with Hereward Carrington and some other psychics from the Psychic
Research Society and I believe that the strain is bad for him. Hard as it may be
for him and for us all to face the inevitable fact, perhaps a definite knowledge
will be better news than none at all.

“The whole affair has been a great setback to me because I felt very sure Amelia
would make a safe flight and told her so, and even advised her when to start on
it, so to have the thing end in disaster gives astrology (and [1293]) an awful blow.
I shall never again make a prediction with the same carefree attitude that I had
before this happened. Perhaps that is my lesson.”

Whether or not Edgar Cayce had accurately tuned into Amelia Earhart, her location,
and her situation may never be known. What is known is that this woman has captured
the imagination of the world for many decades, and will continue to capture our
imagination for many, many more.

Earth Changes - Are Psychic Predictions Unavoidable?

Are Psychic Predictions Unavoidable?
One challenge that arises when working with psychic predictions is
that they are completely subject to the activities and the free will of
those individuals about whom the “prophecy” is foretold. This means
that a psychic can make predictions based only upon current events and
“thought-forms.” These thoughts and events are then projected onto a
future time-line, enabling an effective psychic to “see” the result.

However,
because of the very nature of predictions, they are not set in stone,
nor are they necessarily unavoidable. When enough individuals combine,
utilizing their free will in a positive direction, the potential future
“seen” by the psychic is altered. An excellent example of this is the
Old Testament story of Jonah. He foresaw the destruction of Nineveh
because of the people’s own negative thoughts and deeds. God Himself
was not going to destroy the city, rather it was the people themselves
who were bringing about a destruction based upon their own selfishness
and acts of hate toward one another. In order to help the people, Jonah
predicted the city’s downfall. As a result, the people banded together,
changed their thoughts and actions, and – through the use of unified
free will – altered their foreseen future in less than forty days! The
destruction never came, and Nineveh was saved.

We might even say
that the people of Nineveh were “destined” to undergo profound personal
changes that would give them a greater opportunity to fulfill God’s
Will for their lives. It was not that the destruction of the city was
inevitable; instead, it was that collective transformation of the
citizens was inevitable one way or another. Through the use of free
will, the people were able to decide for themselves how their personal
change was to be brought about. The people transformed themselves and,
in turn, the city, rather than having external events in the city force
them to undergo personal change.

One of the most interesting
dynamics of people working together is that they can raise the
“vibration” of energy and thought to a higher level. Simply stated,
this means that literal physical earth changes seen decades ago by
Edgar Cayce could now be changes that will occur on a different level.
Certainly, some earthquakes will continue to occur as part of the
natural physical evolution of the planet. But potentially even more
influential changes could come from world-wide political turmoil,
economic challenges, wars, and many more “upheavals” that are not
necessarily geological in nature. In fact, one of the earth change
readings states that the exact nature of what’s coming is yet to be
shaped: “As to the changes that are coming...these will, as indicated,
depend upon what individuals and groups do about what they know
respecting His will, His purpose with man.” (reading #1602-6).

In March 2008 we went on to the Giza plateau and located the entrance to a previously unrecorded cave underworld, entered via an overlooked tomb some distance due west of the Great Pyramid. This find was achieved after piecing together clues left in the 200-year-old memoirs of a nineteenth century British diplomat and explorer named Henry Salt. He recorded how in 1817 he and Italian explorer Giovanni Caviglia entered and explored “catacombs” at Giza for a distance of “several hundred yards” before coming upon spacious chambers and “labyrinthick” passages that penetrated the darkness still further.

Underlying geology hints that this cave system might extend beneath the second Pyramid and link with a whole network of cave tunnels, compartments, and chambers existing all the way down to the Sphinx on the eastern edge of the plateau.

The existence of the cave tunnels argue that ancient Egyptian mythology is based on truth. Ancient funerary and creation texts speak of the existence in the vicinity of Giza, ancient Rostau, of just such a cave underworld--one through which the soul of the pharaoh had to pass in order to achieve rebirth among the stars. Thus the pyramids were very likely built where they were because of the known presence beneath the plateau of this cave underworld. The pyramid’s cave-like passages enabled symbolic access to this underground realm, where the soul of the pharaoh, in its role as Osiris, was expected to achieve transformation within a mystical chamber known as the Shetayet, quite literally the “Tomb or God,” called also the Duat n Ba, or “Underworld of the Soul.” This deep structure was thought to exist somewhere in the vicinity of Giza, in what was known as the Duat of Memphis or Duat of Rostau.

Beyond this is the politics and intrigue surrounding the cave discoveries. How were amateurs like us able to make such finds? Why have the caves existence been denied by Egypt’s head Egyptologist? Why has their di scovery stirred up so much interest worldwide? The clue is that they help fulfill age-old, and more recent, prophecies surrounding the imminent discovery of just such a cave complex at Giza--one that might well provide undeniable evidence of early human activity on the plateau that goes back beyond even the age of the pharaohs.

What Did Edgar Cayce Really Say About Earth Changes?

What Did Edgar Cayce Really Say
About Earth Changes?
Kevin J. Todeschi

Because I had originally been so concerned with Cayce’s earth change predictions, I was surprised
when I eventually counted them for myself. Less than twenty of the readings even discuss physical
earth changes! Some of these readings suggest that the entire planet can expect major earthquakes
and inundations before the turn of the century. A few, given concerning the period 1932-1936 are
especially fatalistic. Oftentimes, they are the very readings that have been quoted out of context or
have proven to be inaccurate. Just one example is the frequently quoted reading which states, “The
earth will be broken up in many places. The early portion will see a change in the physical aspect of the
west coast of America...” (3976-15) This reading was even quoted in A.R.E.’s long-running
“Introductory Film” (1975-1993). But the question to which Cayce was actually responding dealt with
the changes to be expected in 1934!

The readings also pinpointed 1936 as a year of major change. However, the readings suggested that
the change would entail “the breaking up of many POWERS” in terms of “world affairs.” The irony of
this date is that 1936 did mark the outbreak of civil war in Spain, Chiang Kai-shek’s declaration of war

Kevin J.

However, the readings suggested that
the change would entail “the breaking up of many POWERS” in terms of “world affairs.” The irony of
this date is that 1936 did mark the outbreak of civil war in Spain, Chiang Kai-shek’s declaration of war
on Japan, and Hitler’s reoccupation of the Rhineland – an event which many pinpoint as the impetus
for the eventual outbreak of World War II. Rather than earthquakes, the changes expressed
themselves in the affairs of humankind through the outbreak of war.

Kevin J. Todeschi

I could not begin to count the number of times over the years I have heard stories about
young people with seeming psychological traumas (including innate fears and reoccurring
nightmares) that to students of the Edgar Cayce materials would appear to be reincarnation
based. Unfortunately, almost without exception, these young people are simply treated with
medications and psychotherapy in an effort to stop “the problem.” Because an understanding of
reincarnation and the way in which memory transfers from one incarnation to the next has yet to
enter into our mainstream worldview there has not been an openness to look at these issues from
the perspective of the soul rather than simply from the perspective of the mind. That is until now.
The story of downed World War II pilot James Huston reincarnating in our contemporary time as
James Leininger may do much to change the way in which parents and health care providers look
at fear, reoccurring nightmares, and the journey of the soul.

Recounted in Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation of a World War II Fighter Pilot is the
story of two-year-old James Leininger who began having repetitive and horrific nightmares about
a man who was stuck in a plane that was on fire, crashing toward the water. He began drawing
pictures of the scene – an event that shaped many of his waking thoughts. He told his parents
that the man had been shot down. When they asked by whom, the child appeared stunned by
their ignorance and replied, “The Japanese.” The child stated that he had been the man in the
plane and provided extensive details about the man, his name, James Huston, the ship he was
from and the individuals who had served with him. In time, his parents tracked down both
family and surviving servicemen who had known James Huston, and little James Leininger
provided specific information that could have only been known by Huston. The Japanese even
invited young Leininger to return to the place where his planned had been downed more than 60
years ago. The impressiveness of the tale has caused the Leininger story to be picked up by media
throughout the country, from ABC’s Primetime to Fox News.

For me, the story of James Leininger is a refreshing reminder that we are eternal spiritual
beings having ongoing physical experiences in a process of personal growth and enlightenment.
There is no doubt in my mind that stories like this will become more commonplace and more
accepted, for we are on the verge of a global shift in perception and consciousness – a shift that
will lead us to truly understand our connection to one another and our relationship with the
Divine. After all, when the workings of reincarnation became the worldview then all the things
that divide us – whether religion, or power, or ideology or differences of any kind – will simply
fade away.

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol and Edgar Cayce’s Insights

By John Van Auken

Get ready for another fast-paced, action-packed thriller with Tom Hanks as Harvard
professor Robert Langdon searching to break the mysterious code of arcane symbols to
discover the secret that will end the horror! Actually, in this latest thriller, professor
Langdon is looking for a pyramid that contains the key to turning men into gods. Langdon is
driven into this dark world to save his mentor, Peter Solomon, the kidnapped and mutilated
CEO of the Smithsonian Institution (and an obvious pointer to Solomon’s Temple and the
Masons). Anticipating huge demand, Doubleday printed 6.5 million copies of Dan Brown’s
latest book, The Lost Symbol! (There are 81 million copies of The Da Vinci Code in print!)

In this newest mystery-thriller, Brown reveals what many have surmised, that
Washington, D.C., was laid out according to a secret geometric code designed by the
Freemasons, those most secretive, underground rulers of nations. Tradition holds that the
men who built Solomon’s Temple founded Freemasonry and that many of the Founding
Fathers of the United States were indeed Freemasons. Of the 56 persons who signed the
Declaration of Independence in 1778, 15 of them were Masons. Of the 39 signers of the
United States Constitution, 28 were high degree Masons. Fourteen presidents were openly
Freemasons; nine more have been suspected of being Masons.

Key among Washington’s designers was Thomas Jefferson, who developed initial
plans and modified the final plans for the capital district of the new nation—despite the
hiring of Pierre L’Enfant as the primary architect. Jefferson, along with many of the
Founding Fathers, incorporated the secret symbolism of Freemasonry into the new nation’s
icons, notably the Great Seal of the nation—both sides of which appear on the one-dollar bill.

Annuit Coeptis means “Announcing the birth of,” and Novus Ordo Seclorum means
“New World Order,” thus it says, “Announcing the Birth of the New World Order.” The date
in Roman numerals is 1776. The Latin E Pluribus Unum means “Out of Many, One.”

In one of Edgar Cayce’s famous past-life readings (1208-1), he identified Thomas
Jefferson as the reincarnation of another nation builder who also built an enormous library:
Alexander the Great, who built the renowned library of Alexandria, Egypt. Curiously, in 1814,
when the first U.S. Library of Congress burned down, as had the great library in Alexandria, it
was Thomas Jefferson’s library that replaced the lost Library of Congress.

Cayce also said, “Americanism, with the universal thought that is expressed and
manifested in the brotherhood of man into group thought, as expressed by the Masonic
Order, will be the eventual rule in the settlement of affairs in the world. Not that the world is
to become a Masonic order, but the principles that are embraced in it will be the basis upon
which the new order of peace is to be established.... When these things are considered, then,
it is self-evident that individuals should be up and doing.” (1152-11)

What are some of the mottos and codes of the Masonic order? Dan Brown’s book
focuses on the Scottish Rite Masonry, putting its seal on the front cover of his book. In this we see the number 33, which is the highest degree awarded
in the Scottish Rite; the double-headed eagle, which symbolizes East and West united; and
the words Ordo ab chao, which means “Order from chaos.” Freemasonry espouses the
values of brotherly love, relief (i.e., charity), and truth (i.e., good morals). The masonry part
comes from the idea that, by applying in our lives the precepts of ancient master builders,
we can all benefit—of course, those precepts are proprietary Masonic knowledge.
Freemasonry believes in a Creative Principle, or force, from which everything emanates.
The Freemasons use architectural symbolism to explain life.

One of their principal symbols is the square and architect’s compass, tools of the
trade of masons. As measuring instruments, the tools represent judgment and discernment.
The compass, which is used to draw circles, represents the realm of the spiritual and
eternity. It is symbolic of the defining and limiting principle, and also of infinite
boundaries—the Kabbalah’s orbs on the Tree of Life. The square measures the angle, the
symbol of earth and the realm of the material. The square represents fairness, balance,
firmness, and the like, which is reflected in phrases such as "on the square" and "squared
away." Something that is squared is something that is stable, a foundation for building upon.
The square represents matter, and the architect’s compass symbolizes the spirit or mind.
The architect’s compass straddles the square, representing the interdependence of the two.
In the space between them, there is optionally placed a blazing star or other symbol of Light,
representing truth or knowledge. Alternatively, there is often a letter G, said to represent God
and/or Sacred Geometry.

In Dan Brown’s new book, the Washington Monument is at the center of the secret
geometric grid, and its cap contains the lost secret! George Washington was a strong Mason,
and inside the entrance to his monument, just about his image, is the Egyptian Winged Orb of
God Consciousness, with two cobras, symbolizing the kundalini energy, or élan vital, and a
five-pointed star, representing the five senses and appendages of the body.

Dan Brown’s premise that Washington, D.C. was secretly arranged according to a
Masonic pattern will be a surprise to those living in Sandusky, Ohio, because, according to
their town’s records, Hector Kilbourne, first “Worshipful Master” of the Sandusky Masonic
Lodge, laid out the grid for the downtown of Sandusky, Ohio, in 1818, as the only city in the
world originally laid out on Masonic symbols.

Cayce’s readings say, “Washington is and will be the center of the world. From those
environs must go much that will rule or direct the thoughts of men of the world,
everywhere.” (3003-1)

Here is the supposed layout of Washington.
The triple Tau is the “Sacred Name” expressing the Trinity of the Divine and is
secretly used in Masonic rites and design. The Grand Commander of the Ancient and
Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Albert Pike, wrote: “The triple Tau, in the center of a
circle and a triangle (see illustration) typifies the Sacred Name; and represents the Sacred
Triad of the Creating, Preserving, and Destroying Powers [Hindu gods Brahma, Vishnu, and
Shiva, the latter is the destroyer of illusions); as well as the three great lights of Masonry:
Wisdom, Strength, and Harmony.”

According to The Lost Symbol, the Masons also hid lost words of great power inside
their secret grid. The evil one in this book is a bodybuilder, covered from head to toe in
occult tattoos, who nicknames himself Mal’akh (Moloch), after one of the devils in Paradise
Lost. He is determined to possess that magic word. Remember, Dan Brown writes
entertaining fiction, no matter how much he makes it sound like fact!

Harmonic Convergence and
Earthquakes Part 2

Kevin J. Todeschi

New Age catastrophe advocates received a new date to
consider when new psychic predictions announced that January 11, 1992 would
herald in the dawning of personal enlightenment. Although this prophecy (dubbed
“11:11” because of numerological factors) did not necessarily suggest there
would be earth changes – resembling instead the vibrational activities of the
Harmonic Convergence – many believed that some type of physical change would
occur nonetheless.

Beginning in the winter/spring of 1993, my office was
inundated with phone calls regarding the latest prediction that the California
quake would inevitably occur on or before May 9, 1993. The prediction
received only minor media attention but the number of metaphysically-oriented
individuals familiar with the claim was astounding. In March, I had a verbal
argument with one man who was very angry that A.R.E. wasn’t “broadcasting” the
information about the quake, allowing individuals to “get out” and therefore
save themselves. Finally, when it became clear that we were finding no point of
agreement, I suggested that the person call me back on May 10. The call never
came.

For decades, much hype surrounded the year 1998 as being
very significant. In fact, for years many speakers affiliated with the Cayce
work seemed to imply that something physical would definitely happen between
1958 and 1998 – a forty-year period which the Cayce readings saw as being
extremely significant. I remember stating in my own lectures that I would be
glad when December 31, 1998 finally passed so that people could get over their
earthquake fascination – I was naïve in my estimation. The year 2000 only
bought with it more potential prophecies and now the year 2012 is lining up to
be even more anticipatory for the earth change enthusiasts.

What if we are all looking at this material wrong? What if
we really need to understand that the changes have already occurred? What if we
need to get on with our lives, and our real mission of transforming the earth?

Kevin J. Todeschi

By the time of the “Harmonic Convergence” in 1987 my understanding of the “changes” had
undergone some major re-clarification. When calls came in from individuals who were convinced that
the “Quake-to-End-All-Quakes” was coming, part of our conversation always included this suggestion
from me: the subconscious mind would use whatever it took to bring about a personal transformation
– even fear of earth changes. If the individual felt that he or she was being guided at a soul level to relocate, it wasn’t simply to escape from “disaster.” The person was also being prompted to make
some personal changes.

During the brief media blitz of the Harmonic Convergence, a few New Age organizations predicted that
the dates August 16 and 17, 1987, would culminate in major geological change. When A.R.E. was
contacted a number of times by representatives of the local media for interviews on the subject, I
repeatedly suggested that the shift was “vibrational and consciousness-oriented” and that people
should not expect physical calamity to certify the happening. But with only one exception, the local
newspapers were not interested in what we had to say, turning instead to others with more
sensational interpretations.)

The next big expectation for The Quake focused on May 10, 1988. Based primarily upon a number of
individuals’ interpretations of the prophecies of Nostradamus, the Big One was pinpointed (even
down to the hour!) for May 10, 1988 at 12 noon. That date was also indicated by the interpretation of a
number of Indian prophecies. A.R.E. announced the date and time as a possibility in two of its
membership publications (A.R.E. Journal, July 1980, and Venture Inward magazine, May/June 1988).
The date came and went without incident.

In October 1989, the San Francisco Bay area earthquake of 7.1 on the Richter scale caused many
individuals to believe that the series of “cataclysmic quakes” were finally upon us. However, it was not
the case. Nevertheless, the tragedy did result in many individuals remembering their concern that the
Big One was just around the corner.

A minor media sensation occurred when the Browning Report(1989) predicted a major quake of
magnitude 8 for New Madrid, Missouri, for December 1990. Although newspapers carried the
information, videos were created and sold on the topic, and perhaps as many as a hundred people
called A.R.E. for advice, nothing happened. The report was soon forgotten.

Alison Ray

I have gone on several excursions in an attempt to experience and document the paranormal. One of
the most interesting excursions was to Excalibur, a night club in Chicago. The location was a makeshift
morgue following a disaster in the river in 1915, and many people have reported experiences that they
were unable to explain.

When explaining how spirit communications occur, Edgar Cayce offered the following, “When the
body (material) attunes self to that plane … those of the astral plane may communicate, in thought, in
power, in form.”(Edgar Cayce reading 5756-4). He went on to explain in the same reading that the
information provided was, “Always true, so far as the individual has brought self into that attunement
as is necessary for the perfect understanding of same.”

We used tools such as an Electro Magnetic Frequency (EMF) meter, which measures electrical output
to identify locations where there may be a spirit. Many believe that sudden, unexplained spikes on
the EMF are the result of the energy of a spirit manifesting. We also used a digital thermometer, as
sudden drops in temperature may be a result of an entity pulling energy toward itself while
attempting to manifest.

I like to use dowsing rods as a means of communication, once a possible spirit is identified. I generally
begin by asking the spirit to cross the rods to let us know that they desire to interact with us. Later
repeating this question and then asking the spirit to uncross the rods helps to validate the interaction.
Working with a spirit, one person asks a question and follows slowly with a number of possible
answers. We request that the spirit cross the rods at the point in which we have the correct answer. At
the visit to Excalibur, I held the rods so that I could be certain there was no manipulation of the
answers.

During our experience, we spent some time in dialogue with a woman who had drowned in the early
1940s. She told us that she did not want to leave the location, as she wanted to stay there and wait for
her family to join her. It takes a long time to ask questions, and even longer to wait for the answers.
But we enjoyed learning about her life and why she remained there.

Edgar Cayce offered the following insight into why these communications occur, “… these as we have
given here are set forth that those who would study may have the basis of an understanding that will
give each and everyone that knowledge that the physical world, and the cosmic world, or the astral
world, are one …” ( 5756-4).

Our Fascination with Cataclysmic Change

Kevin J. Todeschi

In 1974 I began my involvement with the Edgar Cayce material. In that same year I became convinced
that I needed to be living and working in Virginia Beach, Virginia, no later than December 31, 1982. My
justification for moving within that time-frame was what I thought at the time were Cayce’s earth
change prophecies coupled with an astronomer’s prediction of “the Jupiter Effect” – a planetary
alignment that was expected to place excessive strain on continental-plates and fault-lines already
stressed to the breaking point.

During the eight years between 1974 and 1982, I became focused on “when and how” I would finally
make the move from Colorado to the beach. My friends and family became confused, concerned,
even frustrated about my complete determination. But there was no convincing me otherwise; I had
to get to Virginia Beach. My conviction about the impending “Big One” was so complete that I
remember telling a number of individuals that a car I had purchased in 1980 would be “my last car”
since the world as we knew it would soon cease to exist. (I have replaced my automobile many times
since then.)

I made several visits to Virginia Beach before the actual move. I even made an aborted “move” to the
area for a brief two months in 1980. Finally I achieved my goal within the self-imposed time-constraints
and landed at the Norfolk, Virginia airport on December 26, 1982. I started work as a member of the
A.R.E. staff the very next day.

Shortly after I joined the staff, I began talking with people on the phone about their own “sense of
urgency” in regards to the impending disasters. At the time I was eager to send out as many “Moving
to Virginia Beach” packets as were requested. I (like many others) was still convinced that the “Big
One” was just around the corner. Even though the long-awaited Jupiter Effect had come and gone –
without apparent physical happening – I just knew the time was short. Since then I have come to
recognize this feeling of urgency to be more of a call-to-change rather than a call-to-move.

For the next several years I continued to be convinced that the quakes were coming. In time,
however, I began to grow frustrated by the number of people who were not only convinced that the
era of the big quakes was upon us, but who also seemed to be looking forward to them. In fact, I was
surprised at how many of us involved in this type of work were eagerly waiting for God to somehow
“wipe the slate clean” so that we could just simply start all over.

Edgar Cayce on Earth Changes
Kevin J. Todeschi

Over the years I have spoken to literally hundreds of individuals who were concerned about
forthcoming earthquakes, the Big Quake, or “safety lands” – areas of the world that might somehow
be free from geological disaster. I have been amazed at how many people seem to be familiar with
Cayce’s “predictions” (at least with what they believe to be his predictions) while at the same time
being unaware about much of the rest of his work. In fact, the number of individuals who can cite such
“facts” as California and/or Japan sliding off into the ocean, Europe disappearing in the twinkling of an
eye, a shifting of the poles, or the Great Lakes emptying into the Gulf of Mexico is absolutely mind-
boggling!

Even among those individuals who state they have read books about Cayce, there is often little or no
familiarity with any of the material on holistic health, spirituality, dream interpretation, or human
relationships. But those same individuals can generally mention one of Cayce’s earth change
predictions. This is especially amazing when you consider that more than 9,500 of the readings deal
with the physical body and health and less than 20 even discuss the subject of earth changes!

Over the years as the calendar has moved through various important dates, Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. has
been inundated with requests from individuals who want to know more about “earth change
prophecies.” Now that December 21, 2012 and the end of the Mayan Calendar is moving toward us,
individuals are again wondering just what did Edgar Cayce say about cataclysmic change? Are psychic
predictions from a reliable source unavoidable? When might we expect the changes to occur? Why are
we so fascinated with the possibility of massive change, and just what is this business of change,
changes, and earth changes all about?
