April
17, 2005 — Gand (Belgium)
Several members of A.R.E. Belgium will give
lectures at a symposium held in Gand (Ghent),
Belgium, on Sunday, April 17. Talks will include
Edgar Cayce’s life, his predictions and
Atlantis.
August
2006
Benelux Congress
A.R.E. Belgium and A.R.E. Holland organized the first “Edgar
Cayce Benelux Congress” on August 24, 2002.
The event took place in Eersel, a lovely Dutch
town close to the Belgian border. Featuring
talks in three languages (English, Dutch and
French — with translations available), Benelux
Congress 2002 attracted participants from Belgium,
the Netherlands, France and the Unites States.
It was aimed primarily at forging bonds between
local study group members and other interested
friends. The Benelux Congress is planned every
other year, alternating with the Euro Congress.
The second Benelux Congress took place in Den
Bosch, on Saturday, August 28, 2004. It was
organized through the cooperative efforts of
A.R.E. Belgium, A.R.E. Holland, the Davidhuis
Foundation and the Timothy of Lystra Foundation.
The theme was: “Living the Edgar Cayce Readings”.
There were several presentations, with much
room for informal exchanges. The theme of the
Congress was inspired by the continuous focus
of the readings on application. Details about
the 2006 Benelux Congress will be announced
at a later date.
Dutch
language e-mail study group
In addition to the in-person study groups that
have been operating in Belgium and the Netherlands
for several years, a Dutch language e-mail group
is now available. This online group was originally
designed for individuals who live too far away
from the existing in-person groups. The group
is facilitated primarily by Johanna van Zwet,
A.R.E.’s coordinator for online study groups
worldwide. Johanna says it is a wonderful experience.
She thinks the idea could be set up for other
languages.
