Edgar Cayce's Axis Pole Shift

With the news reports from NASA researchers that the recent earthquake in Chile has shifted the Earth's axis and shortened the day, many people are wondering just what Edgar Cayce had to say about the possibility of a pole shift.

When asked "What great change or the beginning of what change, if any, is to take place in the Earth in the year 2000 to 2001 A.D.?" Cayce answered: "When there is the shifting of the poles; or a new cycle begins." The Maya also saw a new era beginning in the first years of the new millennium but, according to their artifacts, it begins when the present age of "Movement" ends on December 21, 2012 A.D.

Astronomers believe the axis wobble (like a spinning top slowing) has been occurring for ages and causes the North Pole to point to different Pole Stars or North Stars. How often this occurs is unclear. According to leading scientific teams at major research centers, axis shifts have only occurred every few million or billion years and taken millions of years to be completed. According to other worthy sources (e.g., Encyclopedia Britannica Educational Corporation, York Films, and The Learning Channel), the wobble changes the Pole Star about every 24,000 to 26,000 years. In Hinduism a full day and night in the Brahma equals roughly 24,000 years, a Kali-kalpa.

Cayce states that the ancient Egyptians knew of these shifts and the Great Pyramid of Giza was built so as to point to the Axis or Pole Star.

Edgar Cayce gave a reading that spoke of a change in the Pole Star of Earth. He explained that the Great Pyramid of Giza represented the various ages we have been going through. He said, "At the correct time accurate imaginary lines can be drawn from the opening of the great Pyramid to the second star in the great Dipper, called Polaris or the North Star." He must be using the word "great" as an adjective of importance because Polaris is in the Little Dipper, but it is, as Cayce said, "the second star." (SAO 209 is the first, but is not shown in the accompanying illustration.)

Cayce said, "This indicates it is the system toward which the soul takes its flight after having completed its sojourn through this solar system. The Dipper is gradually changing, and when this change becomes noticeable - as might be calculated from the Pyramid - there will be the beginning of the change in the races [he's speaking of root races not color races]. There will come a greater influx of souls from the Atlantean, Lemurian, La, Ur, or Da civilizations."

He then explained that this pyramid was built in this manner by Ra and Hermes and many others who "sought to bring to man a better understanding of the close relationship between the Creative Forces and that created, between man and man, and man and his Maker."

He then cautioned us that "only those who have been called may truly understand. Who then has been called? Whosoever will make him or herself a channel may be raised to a blessing...."

Let's examine the relationship of the entrance to the Great Pyramid and the shifting Pole Stars. In the diagrams accompanying this article you will see the three main Pole Stars for our little blue planet: Thuban, Polaris, and Vega. During the age of ancient Egypt, Thuban was the North Star, i.e., at midnight above the North Pole, Thuban would have been the northernmost star. Of course, today the North Star is Polaris. However, Vega will be the North Star in the future. But this would require our little blue planet to roll over dramatically!

If one draws an imaginary line from the entrance of the Great Pyramid on the Spring Equinox (about March 22-25) in 4000+ B.C., 2000 A.D., and 10000 A.D., it points directly to the northern star of each age: Thuban, Polaris, and Vega, respectively. Hermes, Ra, and all the others involved sure knew what they were doing when they built that magnificent monument.

Since Polaris indicates "the system towards which the soul takes flight," could the change to Vega indicate a new flight pattern? Vega is a blue-white star and the fifth brightest star in the sky. It is in the constellation Lyra, the Harp or Lyre of the musician Orpheus. It was said that when Orpheus played this instrument, neither mortal nor god could turn away (Orpheus also introduced reincarnation into Greek mythology, a key concept in Cayce’s teachings as well). Interestingly, Vega marks the approximate direction toward which our sun and all its planets are traveling through space.

Here's the hard news: In order to have shifted from Thuban as the Pole Star to Polaris, the Earth would have shifted its northern axis pole about 26°, not a drastic shift. However, in order to shift from Polaris as the Pole Star to Vega, the Earth will have to shift its northern axis pole a whopping 51°! But, if it is done gradually, over a very long period of time, as Cayce indicated it would, then we should not be expecting a dramatic pole shift in the next few years. It's enough to know that the present age is ending and a new age is beginning.

As many of you know, Cayce said that during this new age we will regain the powers we had in our earliest incarnations into this world during the age of Atlantis and Lemuria or Mu. This was prior to our souls becoming as encased in matter as we are today and back when we had godly powers to solve our material needs more easily. Of course, Cayce warned that we did not handle these powers well, leading to the destruction of these ancient lands.

When asked what the New Age means to humanity, Edgar Cayce replied:"the full consciousness of the ability to communicate with the Creative Forces and be aware of the relationships to the Creative Forces and the uses of same in material environs. This awareness during the era or age in the Age of Atlantis and Lemuria or Mu brought what? Destruction to man, and his beginning of the needs of the journey up through that of selfishness." (1602-3)

Possible Atlantis Sites Discovered

For fifteen years, the Edgar Cayce Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, has been conducting expeditions off the coast of the tiny island of Bimini and along the Gulf Stream in search of Atlantis. They have found fascinating underwater features that may be man-made structures covered by ages of sand and coral.

According to the Edgar Cayce readings, the people of Atlantis became aware of the fact that their civilization was about to be destroyed. As a result, they hid identical records of the Atlantean civilization in Bimini, in Egypt, and in the Yucatan. Numerous readings contend that this “Hall of Records” will be discovered, including:

(Q) Give in detail what the sealed room contains.

 

(A) A record of Atlantis from the beginnings of those periods when the Spirit took form or began the encasements in that land, and the developments of the peoples throughout their sojourn, with the record of the first destruction and the changes that took place in the land...

 

This in position lies, as the sun rises from the waters, the line of the shadow (or light) falls between the paws of the Sphinx, that was later set as the sentinel or guard, and which may not be entered from the connecting chambers from the Sphinx's paw (right paw) until the TIME has been fulfilled when the changes must be active in this sphere of man's experience. (Reading 378-16)

A.R.E. is still seeking the Hall of Records, which director John Van Auken believes might be found off the coast of Bimini at the edge of the Gulf Stream where the waters are 200-300 feet deep.

Beneath the Pyramids

In March 2008 we went on to the Giza plateau and located the entrance to a previously unrecorded cave underworld, entered via an overlooked tomb some distance due west of the Great Pyramid. This find was achieved after piecing together clues left in the 200-year-old memoirs of a nineteenth century British diplomat and explorer named Henry Salt. He recorded how in 1817 he and Italian explorer Giovanni Caviglia entered and explored “catacombs” at Giza for a distance of “several hundred yards” before coming upon spacious chambers and “labyrinthick” passages that penetrated the darkness still further.

Underlying geology hints that this cave system might extend beneath the second Pyramid and link with a whole network of cave tunnels, compartments, and chambers existing all the way down to the Sphinx on the eastern edge of the plateau.

The existence of the cave tunnels argue that ancient Egyptian mythology is based on truth. Ancient funerary and creation texts speak of the existence in the vicinity of Giza, ancient Rostau, of just such a cave underworld--one through which the soul of the pharaoh had to pass in order to achieve rebirth among the stars. Thus the pyramids were very likely built where they were because of the known presence beneath the plateau of this cave underworld. The pyramid’s cave-like passages enabled symbolic access to this underground realm, where the soul of the pharaoh, in its role as Osiris, was expected to achieve transformation within a mystical chamber known as the Shetayet, quite literally the “Tomb or God,” called also the Duat n Ba, or “Underworld of the Soul.” This deep structure was thought to exist somewhere in the vicinity of Giza, in what was known as the Duat of Memphis or Duat of Rostau.

Beyond this is the politics and intrigue surrounding the cave discoveries. How were amateurs like us able to make such finds? Why have the caves existence been denied by Egypt’s head Egyptologist? Why has their di  scovery stirred up so much interest worldwide? The clue is that they help fulfill age-old, and more recent, prophecies surrounding the imminent discovery of just such a cave complex at Giza--one that might well provide undeniable evidence of early human activity on the plateau that goes back beyond even the age of the pharaohs.

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol and Edgar Cayce’s Insights

Get ready for another fast-paced, action-packed thriller with Tom Hanks as Harvard professor Robert Langdon searching to break the mysterious code of arcane symbols to discover the secret that will end the horror! Actually, in this latest thriller, professor Langdon is looking for a pyramid that contains the key to turning men into gods. Langdon is driven into this dark world to save his mentor, Peter Solomon, the kidnapped and mutilated CEO of the Smithsonian Institution (and an obvious pointer to Solomon’s Temple and the Masons). Anticipating huge demand, Doubleday printed 6.5 million copies of Dan Brown’s latest book, The Lost Symbol! (There are 81 million copies of The Da Vinci Code in print!)

In this newest mystery-thriller, Brown reveals what many have surmised, that Washington, D.C., was laid out according to a secret geometric code designed by the Freemasons, those most secretive, underground rulers of nations. Tradition holds that the men who built Solomon’s Temple founded Freemasonry and that many of the Founding Fathers of the United States were indeed Freemasons. Of the 56 persons who signed the Declaration of Independence in 1778, 15 of them were Masons. Of the 39 signers of the United States Constitution, 28 were high degree Masons. Fourteen presidents were openly Freemasons; nine more have been suspected of being Masons.

Key among Washington’s designers was Thomas Jefferson, who developed initial plans and modified the final plans for the capital district of the new nation—despite the hiring of Pierre L’Enfant as the primary architect. Jefferson, along with many of the Founding Fathers, incorporated the secret symbolism of Freemasonry into the new nation’s icons, notably the Great Seal of the nation—both sides of which appear on the one-dollar bill.

Annuit Coeptis means “Announcing the birth of,” and Novus Ordo Seclorum means “New World Order,” thus it says, “Announcing the Birth of the New World Order.” The date in Roman numerals is 1776. The Latin E Pluribus Unum means “Out of Many, One.”

In one of Edgar Cayce’s famous past-life readings (1208-1), he identified Thomas Jefferson as the reincarnation of another nation builder who also built an enormous library: Alexander the Great, who built the renowned library of Alexandria, Egypt. Curiously, in 1814, when the first U.S. Library of Congress burned down, as had the great library in Alexandria, it was Thomas Jefferson’s library that replaced the lost Library of Congress.

Cayce also said, “Americanism, with the universal thought that is expressed and manifested in the brotherhood of man into group thought, as expressed by the Masonic Order, will be the eventual rule in the settlement of affairs in the world. Not that the world is to become a Masonic order, but the principles that are embraced in it will be the basis upon which the new order of peace is to be established.... When these things are considered, then, it is self-evident that individuals should be up and doing.” (1152-11)

What are some of the mottos and codes of the Masonic order? Dan Brown’s book focuses on the Scottish Rite Masonry, putting its seal on the front cover of his book. In this we see the number 33, which is the highest degree awarded in the Scottish Rite; the double-headed eagle, which symbolizes East and West united; and the words Ordo ab chao, which means “Order from chaos.” Freemasonry espouses the values of brotherly love, relief (i.e., charity), and truth (i.e., good morals). The masonry part comes from the idea that, by applying in our lives the precepts of ancient master builders, we can all benefit—of course, those precepts are proprietary Masonic knowledge. Freemasonry believes in a Creative Principle, or force, from which everything emanates. The Freemasons use architectural symbolism to explain life.

One of their principal symbols is the square and architect’s compass, tools of the trade of masons. As measuring instruments, the tools represent judgment and discernment. The compass, which is used to draw circles, represents the realm of the spiritual and eternity. It is symbolic of the defining and limiting principle, and also of infinite boundaries—the Kabbalah’s orbs on the Tree of Life. The square measures the angle, the symbol of earth and the realm of the material. The square represents fairness, balance, firmness, and the like, which is reflected in phrases such as "on the square" and "squared away." Something that is squared is something that is stable, a foundation for building upon. The square represents matter, and the architect’s compass symbolizes the spirit or mind. The architect’s compass straddles the square, representing the interdependence of the two. In the space between them, there is optionally placed a blazing star or other symbol of Light, representing truth or knowledge. Alternatively, there is often a letter G, said to represent God and/or Sacred Geometry.

In Dan Brown’s new book, the Washington Monument is at the center of the secret geometric grid, and its cap contains the lost secret! George Washington was a strong Mason, and inside the entrance to his monument, just about his image, is the Egyptian Winged Orb of God Consciousness, with two cobras, symbolizing the kundalini energy, or élan vital, and a five-pointed star, representing the five senses and appendages of the body.

Dan Brown’s premise that Washington, D.C. was secretly arranged according to a Masonic pattern will be a surprise to those living in Sandusky, Ohio, because, according to their town’s records, Hector Kilbourne, first “Worshipful Master” of the Sandusky Masonic Lodge, laid out the grid for the downtown of Sandusky, Ohio, in 1818, as the only city in the world originally laid out on Masonic symbols.

Cayce’s readings say, “Washington is and will be the center of the world. From those environs must go much that will rule or direct the thoughts of men of the world, everywhere.” (3003-1)

Here is the supposed layout of Washington. The triple Tau is the “Sacred Name” expressing the Trinity of the Divine and is secretly used in Masonic rites and design. The Grand Commander of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Albert Pike, wrote: “The triple Tau, in the center of a circle and a triangle (see illustration) typifies the Sacred Name; and represents the Sacred Triad of the Creating, Preserving, and Destroying Powers [Hindu gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, the latter is the destroyer of illusions); as well as the three great lights of Masonry: Wisdom, Strength, and Harmony.”

According to The Lost Symbol, the Masons also hid lost words of great power inside their secret grid. The evil one in this book is a bodybuilder, covered from head to toe in occult tattoos, who nicknames himself Mal’akh (Moloch), after one of the devils in Paradise Lost. He is determined to possess that magic word. Remember, Dan Brown writes entertaining fiction, no matter how much he makes it sound like fact!

Ancient Mysteries and MysteryQuest

It was the Ancient Mysteries aspect of Edgar Cayce’s readings that actually brought me to the A.R.E. and eventually to Virginia Beach so that I could attend the annual Ancient Mysteries Conference and learn more about the latest developments in the search for Atlantis and Edgar Cayce’s lost Hall of Records.

Two of my favorite experts on the subject are Greg and Lora Little. Well known for their books Edgar Cayce’s Atlantis  and Secrets of the Ancient World, both authors are extensively involved in the ongoing search for the Hall of Records.

They are going to be guests in two episodes of a new show on the History Channel. Each episode of “MysteryQuest” features expeditions to remote locations with experts in science and technology to find new clues about a single mystery. The Littles will be featured on the “The Devil’s Triangle” episode that premiers Wednesday, September 23 at 9 p.m. (ET) about the unexplained mysteries in the Bermuda Triangle.

They will also be featured on a “MysteryQuest” episode entitled “Atlantis” which debuts on Wednesday, October 7 at 10 p.m. (ET). This show will include some close-up, high definition film of the rectangular structures found near Bimini in about 110-feet of water. The episode is expected to include some of Edgar Cayce's reading about the Hall of Records near the Bahamas.

There will be a show on National Geographic on December 9 at 1p.m. (ET) called "The Truth About the Bermuda Triangle" which will show some of the planes found by the Littles.

As a featured speaker at this year’s Ancient Mysteries Conference, Dr. Lora Little will share the latest archaeology researcher on the recent search for Atlantis in Bimini, Andros, and the Bahamas. The presentation features intriguing news and images of the newly discovered underwater formations. This year’s conference, Light from the Secret Chambers: New Discoveries in Egypt, Atlantis, and the Cosmos, is scheduled for October 8 to 11, at A.R.E.’s Virginia Beach headquarters.
