Jason Parker, PhD, MHt, has worked in the field of education for over 30
years. He taught psychology at Virginia Tech
and is currently serving as a senior lecturer of
psychology for Old Dominion University. He
is a former research fellow at Johns Hopkins
School of Medicine, where he investigated the
effects of stress on cancer and cardiovascular
disease. A psychologist and counselor who has
worked as a master hypnotherapist for over 20
years, he has nearly 1,000 hours of experience in
hypnotherapy and past-life regression therapy.
Dr. Parker helped found the hypnotherapy services offered through the A.R.E.
Health Center and Spa, where he was a staff therapist for over ten years.
A popular speaker and teacher at A.R.E., he is known for his lively, interactive presentations
and depth of knowledge as well as his sense of humor.
He has trained in hypnosis, releasement, and regression
techniques with Dr. Helen Crawford, Dr. William Baldwin, Rev. Judith
Baldwin, Dr. Allen Chips, and others, and studied hypnosis and the treatment
of pain at Virginia Tech. A twenty year member of the National Guild of Hypnotists,
he is currently the executive director of Bayside Hypnosis.
