Harold J. Reilly, PhT, (Apr. 22, 1895-Sep. 13, 1987) was a prominent physiotherapist
who owned and operated the Reilly Institute in New York City for more than 30 years. Among his
patients were such notables as Bob Hope and Nelson Rockefeller. He held five doctoral degrees,
published many magazine articles, and was a noted lecturer. The Edgar Cayce Handbook for Health
through Drugless Therapy (available at ARECatalog.com) is still considered one of the best books on
Edgar Cayce’s natural techniques for restoring a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Dr. Reilly created the
Cayce/Reilly Massage, a particular style of Swedish Massage, from information suggested in the Cayce
readings. The Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage, which opened in 1987, is named in honor of his lasting
contribution to the Cayce work.
