Asilomar Fall 2011

Asilomar sign 8-2011No matter where you're coming from, it's easy to get to Asilomar from area highways, as well as numerous airports. The Monterey Peninsula Airport (MRY) is just 8 miles from Asilomar, while Mineta San Jose International (SJC) is 80 miles to the north, and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is 110 miles to the north. The airports in San Jose and San Francisco are also served by the Monterey Airbus, an airport shuttle service that can bring travelers right to the door.

Following are two sections which discuss conference registration. This year it is necessary to fill out two registration forms for the Asilomar Retreat. Each registration form along with appropriate payment must be submitted separately, one for tuition fees, the other for room and board. Tuition fees are sent to A.R.E. HQ registrars; room and board fees are sent directly to Asilomar. Please read the information carefully to be sure to submit your registrations and payments appropriately.

Sign up for room and board - Download the Asilomar Housing Form. Fax your housing form directly to Asilomar at (831) 642-4262 to reserve your room. You may also mail your housing form. (Note: Telephone registrations are not accepted.) Rooms are assigned on a first-come,first-serve basis. Check-in at 4 p.m. Check-out by 11 a.m. Meals begin with dinner on the firstday and end with lunch on the last day. Children under 3 will eat from parent's plates at meals. Rates are per person and include lodging and meals. If you have trouble downloading The Asilomar Housing Form, please contact Renee Branch at 757-457-7112 or e-mail her at renee.branch@edgarcayce.org to request that a form be faxed or sent to you via U.S. mail.

To Insure Your Room Reservations.
Asilomar must receive your housing form prior to Sept. 6, 2011. Requests submitted after Sept. 6, 2011, will be filledas space is available. If rooms are not available on the Asilomar campus after Sept. 6, 2011, you may want to consider rooming off-grounds. See Off-Grounds Participation.

In addition to tuition fees, an off-grounds fee of $10.00 per day (or $30.00 for the entire conference) will be collected by the registrar from those living off-grounds and attending the conference. (Asilomar charges this fee for use of their facilities.) Meal tickets may be purchased from Asilomar if you would like to share meals with our group. Contact the A.R.E. HQ registrar for meal prices.

Tuition fees are submitted separately from room and board. Fill out the Tuition Registration Form and mail with your payment to A.R.E. HQ registrars at the address shown on the form. To take advantage of the early registration savings, submit your form and payment prior to the savings cutoff date of September 6, 2011. Preregistration closes Nov. 1, 2011. Registration will open at the door at 3 p.m., Nov. 4.

Fall at Asilomar can bring all kinds of weather. Bring comfortable clothing (layering is good), a jacket (or raincoat) in case of chilly evenings, and walking shoes. Do plan on enjoying the beach!

A scholarship fund based on donations enables the retreat to offer limited scholarships to those needing financial aid. For information, contact A.R.E. HQ registrars. You are invited to donate to this fund, and all donations are tax deductible.
