Who am I? Why am I here? What is the purpose and meaning of life?
If you have pondered any of these probing questions, this just might be the place for you!
In this four-week, interactive online course, you will learn how Edgar Cayce answered these questions and more. Cayce’s story tells us about our original Oneness with our Creator and the great experiment in consciousness that was our creation as souls. Granted the Godlike attributes of free will and creativity, we were given run over God’s “…universe of worlds…” Our prodigal story takes us to the Earth and our eventual “involution into matter.” As spiritual beings, we were drawn to the contrasts presented by a physical world and the deeper we became emeshed into the physical, the more we forgot our spiritual heritage and thus began our cycle of incarnation and reincarnation into the earth. In this online mentored course, you will learn what you “forgot” and how you can, once again, awaken your soul consciousness!
In this four-week online course, you will:
- Explore the nature of the Soul and the draw to the physical
- Study the essential nature of God
- Discover what led to our deepening into the material world
- Delve into the Spiritual Laws of Karma and Grace
- Learn why Loving God above all else, and our neighbor as ourselves, is the Whole Law
- Begin to understand Forgiveness, Forgetting, and Letting Go
- Unlock the secrets of how to apply spiritual law, awaken your soul consciousness, and set yourself free!
This course will use many examples from the Edgar Cayce Readings and the Cayce soul group. Each section will include a recorded audio visualization/meditation/hypnosis to quicken the awakening of your soul consciousness.
Summary of the Four-Week Experience:
Week One: Our Cosmic Origins – Our Cosmic Journey
Who am I? Why am I here? What is the purpose & meaning of life? Learn Cayce’s answers to these questions from our original Oneness with all, through our incredible prodigal journey, to our eventual involution into the Earth and the subsequent slow gradual reawakening to our original spiritual identity, and gain a perspective on the master plan of creation.
Meditation/Visualization: "Where were you when I laid the foundations of this world?"
Week Two: Understanding Spiritual Law – Love God, Love Thy Neighbor
What is the nature of the Soul and the nature of consciousness? Discover Cayce’s explanation of our intrinsic duality, which he divides into Personality (Ego) & Individuality (Soul). As the great Swiss Psychiatrist, Carl Jung, so aptly stated, “the purpose of life is to move the center of identity from the ego to the Self (Soul).” Cayce would be in full agreement. We will look at the nature of our duality and how the great commandment of loving God above all else and loving thy neighbor as thyself represent the fulfillment of spiritual law and the healing of our divided self.
Meditation/Visualization: Accessing the Divine Within
Week Three: Karma & Grace – The Art of Forgiving & Forgetting
You’ll learn to work with the Spiritual Laws. Just as we may fall when we try to defy the physical laws of gravity, we also suffer consequences when we act outside of the umbrella of Spiritual Law. Karma and Grace represent the two cornerstones of the Laws of Self: Selfishness and Selflessness. You’ll come to a better understanding of these laws and move from “an eye for an eye” consciousness to one of forgiving and forgetting.
Meditation/Visualization: Picking a relationship in your life and taking it to your soul
Week Four: The Incredible Times We Live In, and Playing Your Part in the Plan
According to Cayce, we have just emerged from a 40-year period (1958 to 1998) of the greatest testing of the Earth plane! Cayce then refers to 1998 as the “Dawn of the New Age” where the realization of the true brother- and sisterhood of all humanity could be realized. Review the New Age—what are the promises? What are the potentials? And what is YOUR part in the Revelation?
Meditation/Visualization: Who are you, and why are YOU here?
Peter Woodbury, MSW, Peter’s great-grandmother was a medium and lived to be 107! He was thus able to get to know her and this was the spark, in this life, for his deep interest in the interface between the psychic and the spiritual. He was born in the U.S. but lived around the world as his father was from France and his mother from Puerto Rico. He is thus fluent in three languages.
He received his undergraduate degree in psychology in 1983 from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and his master’s degree in social work from Boston University in 1991.
A popular presenter on key topics from the Cayce readings, Peter has appeared numerous times in A.R.E. Headquarters conferences and in the field, and is known for his outstanding leadership of A.R.E. tours around the globe. He also finds time to play Edgar Cayce in the very popular one-man show titled "An Evening with Edgar Cayce.”
Peter is in private practice as a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist in Virginia Beach, with a focus on the use of spirituality and faith as tools for personal transformation and liberation. He has studied the Cayce readings for over 25 years and is working on his first book on hypnosis and past-life regression.
How Do I Participate In an Online Mentored Course?
The day before your course starts, you will receive an e-mail from email@example.com detailing how to access and navigate your online classroom. You will also receive an invitation to join the workspace in PBWorks.
Once you're in the classroom, you will be able to visit your online classroom any time, day or night, 24/7, for the entire length of the course. You may participate at your convenience from anywhere in the world. There are no specified times that you have to be in the room. You decide when and how often you wish to participate.
In the virtual classroom, you will have access to written and audio or video materials prepared for you by your mentor. Every Wednesday, your mentor will post a lesson along with exercises for you to practice during the week. Posting is very similar to sending an e-mail, except that all the messages are viewed within your virtual classroom. You may post your thoughts, questions, and experiences on the "wall" of your classroom for your mentor and fellow participants to read and respond to. In this way, everyone will benefit from one another's experiences and insights and the coaching offered by your mentor to individuals.
