1. Do I need a computer in order to participate in an eGroup?

   Yes, all eGroups require that you have access to a computer with internet.

2. Where are eGroups held?

   eGroups are held in an on-line forum, there is not a physical location.

3. Are there specific times I need to be on-line in order to participate?

   There are not any specific times that you will need to be on-line. eGroups are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world as long as you have internet access.

4. Are there assignments that have to be turned in?

   There are not any assignments but the mentor will suggest readings, audios, and videos that will further your learning. Sometimes the mentor will ask questions that can be answered by posting on the bulletin board discussion area.

5. What if I am out of town and do not have access to a computer?

   If you will be out of town during part of the 4-week eGroup don't worry, the study material will still be available to you. Since there are no specific times to log on, missing a week is never a problem. Simply log on when you have computer availability and read the weekly lesson that you missed.

6. Do I have to post on the discussion board?

   While it is always available to you there is no requirement to post on the bulletin board.

7. What are the technical requirements?

   This is an online format so you will need a computer with an internet connection as well as a working email address. You will also need a basic understanding of the internet, email, audio and video files.

   All of our eGroups contain PDF files:
   You will need the ability to read PDF files. Some browsers have a built-in PDF reader. For others, it will be necessary to download the PDF file and open it with a PDF reader. To learn more, visit: http://get.adobe.com/reader

   All of our eGroups contain audio files:
   Your computer should have speakers so you can listen to the audio files. You will need the ability to play MP3 audio files. This will vary based on your operating system and browser. You can download a free version of Windows Media Player here.

   NOTE: For Macintosh and other browsers: If you experience problems with the WMA audio files, please use the MP3 files or you can download Windows Media Player for Mac.

   Some of our eGroups contain video Flash files:
   You will need the ability to play Flash files. To learn more about your player, please visit http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ To download Flash, http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

   Dial-up is not recommended because almost all of the eGroups have audio and video files.

8. Can I save and download the exercise material to my computer to view and listen to later?

   You can always save the files from the eGroup for personal use. Some of the MP3 files can be saved and transferred to a portable device.

9. For how long is this material available?

   The bulletin board discussion board usually closes the Friday after the last week of the eGroup. The exercise pages are available from 6-12 months. It is recommended that you save all of the exercises onto your computer if you would like to have unlimited access to them.
