Awakening Past Lives: A Step-by-Step Guide to Self-Exploration

awakening-past-livesVirginia Beach, VA August 20, 2012: A new book by 4th Dimension Press, Awakening Past Lives: A Step-by-Step Guide to Self-Exploration, by John Z. Amoroso, PhD, is a practical guide to self-discovery. Dr. Amoroso brings over twenty years of expertise as a clinical psychologist and student of the Edgar Cayce readings together into a unique interactive self-paced guide that assists the reader in uncovering their unique purpose and mission in life. According to Dr. Amoroso, personal karmic or past-life history can involve a vocation or avocation, an interest, or simply a way of being in the world; it is personal and unique for each individual, and it encompasses the positive and negative themes or aspects of life experiences. It is the negative disruptive themes from past lives (the unfinished business) that can block or disrupt the ability to realize one’s purpose.

Using Integrated Imagery, Amoroso shows the reader how to explore the positive and negative themes of past lives, the behaviors carried into this life, and provides insight into how these karmic themes function and interact with each other.

In addition to a bonus audio CD on Past Life Regression, this guide includes practical experiential exercises that guide the reader in tracing an autobiographical time line, how to capture key information during self-reflection, and the art of journaling.

John-Z-AmorosoJohn Z. Amoroso, PhD, has practiced clinical psychology for more than 20 years. His interest in transpersonal psychology began with his study of the Edgar Cayce readings more than 25 years ago. He successfully incorporates past life regression therapy in conjunction with more conventional techniques to help his clients deal with psycho-emotional issues and physical disorders. Amoroso also conducts study groups and workshops and is a faculty member of Atlantic University.

Edgar Cayce founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented psychic readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The organization's publishing arm, A.R.E. Press, has been printing books since 1931, and over time has added DVDs and CDs to its catalog, with the mission of supporting the work of the A.R.E. and its goal of helping people change their lives for the better. In 2009, A.R.E. Press launched its second imprint, 4th Dimension Press. While A.R.E. Press features topics related to the work of Edgar Cayce in the fields of spirituality, intuition, psychic abilities, ancient mysteries, philosophy, comparative religious studies, personal and spiritual development, and holistic health, 4th Dimension Press allows us to take our publishing efforts further with like-minded and expansive explorations into the mysteries and spirituality of our existence.
