A Renewed Focus on the Health and Wellness at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.
Brings a New M.D. and Other Staff Hires

Virginia Beach, Va.: The Executive Director and CEO of the Edgar Cayce work, Kevin J. Todeschi, announced several new appointments with the organization’s renewed focus on the health information, one of the most important, enduring legacies from the Edgar Cayce readings. Overseeing all aspects of the health outreach and administration will be Dr. Jo Adamson in the position of Medical Director. This critical new position will interface with the the stellar staff of the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage—which provides a comprehensive education in the art and science of therapeutic massage—and the holistic A.R.E. Health Center & Spa—which provides holistic therapies to clients from around the world in its oceanfront Virginia Beach, Va., setting. Jennet Amonte was appointed to the role of Faculty Chair, and Dawn Hogue was promoted to Senior School Administrator for the Cayce/Reilly School. Dr. J.P. Amonte will assume the new position of Lead Clinician for the A.R.E. Health Center & Spa.

“Because of the contemporary relevance and importance of this information, my intent is to position Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. for the future with renewed energy and focus on health and wellness,” said Todeschi. Edgar Cayce is considered by many to be the “father of holistic medicine.” According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, “The roots of present day holism probably go back 100 years to the birth of Edgar Cayce.” Of the more than 14,000 readings on file in the Edgar Cayce archives, almost 9,000 deal with the topic of health and healing. Cayce's approach focused on maintaining wellness by treating the person holistically: mentally, physically, and spiritually. These readings were decades ahead of their time in understanding the nature of illness, the workings of the human body, and the patient’s role in the healing process.
