Jean Paul (J.P.) Amonte, DC, CMT, ChT
Chiropractic and Integrative Cayce/Reilly® Therapy
Dr. J.P. Amonte graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer West Chiropractic College in March, 2011. With a Cayce-based philosophy, he integrates healing techniques including manipulation, massage, therapeutic exercise, and nutritional counseling in his Cayce/Reilly-based Chiropractic and Manual Therapy sessions. "True holistic healing must address the body, mind, and spirit of the individual." A lifelong student of the Edgar Cayce readings, Dr. Amonte has been an A.R.E member since he was five years old. He began intensively studying the readings after graduating from Wake Forest University in 2002 with a major in psychology and a minor in biochemistry. He then graduated from the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in 2004 and currently serves as faculty there, teaching several classes. In April 2006, he was trained by Dr. Allen Chips at the A.R.E and received his certificationin hypnotherapy.
Joy Bloom, PhD
Dream Counseling and Integration
Dr. Joy Bloom, a Jungian-oriented Psychologist and Gestalt therapist, has over thirty years experience working with groups, individuals, couples, and children. A student of the Edgar Cayce readings since 1980, Joy has taught Dream Interpretation at the A.R.E. for six years. Dr. Bloom's counseling practice is enriched by her advanced training in Dreamwork, Body Psychology, Guided Imagery with Music, EMDR, Trauma Release, Addictions Counseling, Breathwork, and Expressive Therapies, especially movement and voice. Dr. Bloom has completed eight years of training with Marion Woodman, an acclaimed Jungian Analyst and author.
Pamela Bro MDiv, MA, PhD
Spiritual Life Counseling
Dr. Pamela Bro holds her doctorate in theology and anthropology from the Chicago Theological Seminary, her masters in divinity from Union Seminary, and her masters in theatre from Schiller College, Berlin, Germany. Pamela brings an especially rich background to her A.R.E. work - her parents, June and Harmon Bro, worked with the Cayces in the 1940s, so she grew up truly immersed in the Cayce worldview. An ordained Protestant minister for the last twenty-five years, Dr. Bro has enriched her field of spiritual counseling through her work with the Lakota Indians, her Mindfulness Training with Buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh, her pastoral post at Yale University, and her forty years' work with the Cayce readings. She has opened to many paths of spirituality and draws upon many spiritual traditions and practices.
Betty Davis, LPC, CH
Betty Davis is a Nationally Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist with specific training in Regression Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Ericksonian Hypnosis. She is a Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor and holds a MEd in Counseling from Old Dominion University. Betty is also a Certified Barratt Restorative Breath Facilitator (Therapeutic Breathworks). Betty facilitates groups, couples and individuals regarding habit change and pain management. She is former military (United States Army Reserve) and retired law enforcement (Lieutenant). Betty maintains a private practice in Norfolk, Va.
Donna Eden Energy Medicine
Denise is certified in Donna Eden Energy Medicine and is on the Eden Teaching-Assistant staff. Denise began her study of wellness practices at the A.R.E. in 1975 and trained in several healing arts at the Cayce-Reilly School. She also holds a 3rd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate. In individual sessions and in workshops, Denise weaves the principles of Eden Energy Medicine, Reiki, acupressure, reflexology, martial artistry, and the Edgar Cayce readings according to each individual's needs.
Catherine Good, DC
Integrative Cayce/Reilly® Therapy
Dr. Catherine Good trained at Life Chiropractic College, where she received her doctorate in 1994. For the past 15 years she has been part of the Edgar Cayce School of Intuitive Studies, and for four years has provided Cayce/Reilly-based Chiropractic and Manual Therapy at the A.R.E. Health Center. Dr. Good integrates fascia mobilization and deep tissue therapy very much in the manner of Harold Reilly himself. Dr. Good also specializes in pregnancy, pediatric, and geriatric therapies using non-force techniques.
Jason L. Parker, PhD, CH
A PhD in Psychology and a certified Master Hypnotherapist, Dr. Jason Parker completed a 3 year research fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine on the effects of stress on cancer and cardio-vascular disease. He has taught Psychology at Virginia Tech and is currently a Professor of Psychology at Old Dominion University.
Libby Proctor is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Nationally Board Certified Herbalist. She graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL as a Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine. In Chicago, she ran a private practice and worked as the acupuncturist at a leading rheumatology medical practice. She relocated to Virginia Beach, Va. in 2014, eager to bring her knowledge and experience to as many people as possible and spread the word about the effectiveness of Chinese medicine. “The most satisfaction I get from being an Acupuncturist is that I can help people when they are desperate, or at their breaking point, thinking they will never feel healthy again. I like to show people that tolerating this level of pain or discomfort is unnecessary, and that there IS an answer and an end to their frustrations, as long as they are committed to the process.” Integrating acupuncture, herbal medicine, lifestyle modifications, dietary and nutritional recommendations, energy work, and other modalities, Libby creates personalized, holistic treatments addressing the individual patient's needs.
Katherine Sanford, CMT, CH
Trained in Transpersonal Hypnotherapy by Allen Chips, Kathe is Certified in Hypnotherapy by the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists. Her deep background in energy and bodywork draws from her study and practice of Cayce/Reilly® Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, and structural integration, among other modalities. Kathe's working goal is to aid others in the integration of their physical, mental and spiritual aspects as they relate to the Cayce material and the individual's own highest goals.

Beginning January, 28, 2012, Dr. Schoeb is away on sabbatical, spending time focused on teaching and writing. He is available on Mondays through A.R.E. Health Center for consultations via Skype or telephone. In his absence, Drs. Good and Amonte are available for Dr. Schoeb's patients.
Dr. Peter M. Schoeb became a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1995 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. He studied naturopathy and nutrition in Europe, graduated from massage school in Switzerland in 1981 and, in 1983, trained with Dr. Harold Reilly in the Cayce/Reilly massage and therapies. Dr. Schoeb taught for 14 years at massage schools, including the Cayce/Reilly® School and for eight years at a chiropractic college. He has practiced holistic health care and integrative chiropractic with A.R.E. Health Center in the old Cayce Hospital in Virginia Beach for the past eight years. For the past 24 years he has traveled internationally (U.S.A., Canada, Ecuador, Japan, Europe), presenting holistic health related topics and courses, including the Edgar Cayce Readings - which he has studied for over 30 years.

Certified in Hypnotherapy by the Institute for Therapeutic Learning and the National Guild of Hypnotists, Ellen has studied with Jack Elias, author of Finding True Magic, and Allen Chips, author of Clinical Hypnotherapy: A Transpersonal Approach. Certified in Eden Energy Medicine, and on Donna Eden's Teaching-Assistant staff, Ellen is committed to facilitating dynamic change for others by providing individualized holistic care and through conducting workshops and classes.
Deborah Smith, PhD, CH, CI
A Certified Hypnotherapist, Dr. Deborah Smith holds a PhD in Psychology with a concentration in Transpersonal Psychology and is well-versed in the related concepts and issues which may enhance your hypnotherapy session. She has additional certifications in Complementary Medical, Pain Management, and Relationship Code hypnosis and is a Certified Instructor of Hypnosis by the National Guild of Hypnotists. Also an ordained minister certified in Pastoral Care-giving, Deborah has led study groups and classes, and lectured on various topics of spirituality. She holds a faculty position with Atlantic University and maintains a hypnotherapy practice in Richmond, Va.

Theresa studied at Inner Sounds International School of Sound Therapy with Arden and Jack Wilken, the school founders. She has provided Inner Sound Therapy as a deep healing technique for over 5 years, and is also a graduate of the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage, a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and a Reiki Master. Theresa has served her community for over 12 years in strengthening integrative healing of mind, body and soul.
