SPIRITUAL GROWTH / STUDY GROUPS
What happens during a Study Group meeting?
MOMENT OF SILENCE
Meetings usually begin with a shared moment of silence and perhaps a short prayer.
The group members take a few minutes to tell what happened during the week as they tried to apply last week's material.
READING AND DISCUSSION
The group then spends about an hour reading and discussing portions of a chapter from A Search for God.
SETTING THE WEEK'S DISCIPLINE
After the discussion period your group selects a specific way to apply this material in daily living.
MEDITATION AND PRAYER
The groups shares in a period of quiet reflection.
GROUP NEWS AND LOCAL EVENTS
This is also a good time to voluntarily share information of special interest from A.R.E. Headquarters at Virginia Beach or information about local A.R.E. activities.
