June 21-25: 30th Annual IASD Dream Conference: The 30th Annual International Conference of the IASD, presented in cooperation with A.R.E., is scheduled for June 21-25, 2013 in Virginia Beach. The conference, which will begin on the last day of Congress, features world-renowned keynote speakers including A.R.E.’s Executive Director and CEO, Kevin J. Saturday, June 22, 2013: Virginia Beach friends of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS): 10 a.m.- 12 Noon and 2:30-4:30 p.m. Dave Bennett, Author of Voyage of Purpose, will be the next featured speaker for Virginia Beach Friends of the International Association for Near-Death Studies for the morning program. Later he will conduct an afternoon workshop, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. with Cindy Griffith-Bennett, about mini-meditation techniques. Morning program suggested donation $5 and afternoon program $20. Tuesdays beginning June 25 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Chat with June Bro: My Days with Edgar Cayce Join June Bro for a free informal chat every Tuesday morning in the new Library Meeting Space. Dr. June Avis Bro found her life deeply affected by working daily with Edgar Cayce when she and her husband, Harmon, came to Virginia Beach in 1943. She set about sharing her interests with others as a pastoral counselor and minister, as well as by using her skills in the performing arts. Her column for A.R.E.’s Venture Inward Magazine, "The Art of Living" is based on her life reading given by Mr. Cayce in 1944.
