Edgar Cayce's A.R.E. is sponsoring a local Meetup Group. Join our group to meet like-minded people and receive notifications of Meetups at A.R.E.'s Virginia Beach headquarters. Here are a few of the Meetups we've held so far: Group meditation, Free lecture on Universal Laws, and Walking the labyrinth.

Note that everyday at the Visitors Center, there is a showing of The Legacy of Edgar Cayce a short movie at 2 p.m., a guided tour of the Visitor Center at 2:30 p.m. and a lecture or video lecture at 3:30 p.m. (view lecture schedule - pdf). These activities are all free of charge.

Mondays:

February Special Events

Saturday, February 4 - from 10 am to 12 noon & 2:30 to 4:30 pm- Virginia Beach Friends of IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) welcomes Vernon M. Sylvest, M.D. Dr. Sylvest suffered four and one-half years with an extremely painful inflammatory disease for which he has a genetic marker. The disease was considered incurable. It was not controlled by medication. After Dr. Sylvest reached the point of suicidal depression, he finally surrendered and sought another way--a spiritual way. Within nine months of his surrender, he was completely well and returned to a happy life. The change was so dramatic that his first wife did not believe at first that it was he. She wondered if he were a "walk-in." His spiritual search continued, leading to a change in his professional life. He added holistic primary care medicine and spiritual teaching to his practice in addition to pathology. His transformation was recognized by many to be similar to that observed in those who had had a near-death experience.
From 2:30 to 4:30 pm, Dr. Sylvest will present a workshop entitled "Opening to the Light Within." This will be a practical presentation that describes the blocks to the experience of the Light within and how to remove them so the It can express fully. The symbolic nature of life's experiences, including the the experience of the physical body, will be discussed so that mental-emotional equivalents that result in illnesses or accidents can be recognized and released. Monday, February 6 - from 6:45 to 8 pm- Circle Group for Peace--Monthly at the A.R.E. (Usually the first Monday of every month) Led by Reverend Laura Jackson
In the mini auditorium Setting the Intention for Peace and Aligning with Purity of Heart Let us reach out to others in spreading the vibration of peace into the world by joining in a forum of all as one. When two or more come together in common purpose and align with Source, we can exponentially amplify the light of peace and oneness. Let's join together and as we intend, so it is. Aligned with purity of heart we will set the intention of peace individually and collectively. Each gathering will consist of an opportunity to share on a topic and a time of silent meditation. We will close our time together with a blessing and a remembering that the intention we set at the onset of our gathering will continue through full completion.
