Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. is a non-profit organization Founded in 1931 to support and advance the work and writings of Edgar Cayce. The Virginia Beach location is the international headquarters where thousands of visitors come year-round and hosts daily activities 7 days per week (see our activities calendar for details).
It was Edgar Cayce’s intention that the organization he founded be used to explore a variety of material from various sources that explore our body, mind, spirit development. In this light, Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. has several options for renting space at our Virginia Beach Headquarters.
Some of the facilities at the A.R.E. include several auditoriums, a meditation room overlooking the ocean, manicured grounds, a meditation garden, labyrinth, and a Health Center and Spa. We are located at 215 67th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451, two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean with ample parking (see directions and map).
The Visitor Center is open daily with Summer and Winter hours (after hours reservations require payment to a security service).

Some of the facilities include the following:
 MAIN AUDITORIUM
- Space - 2700 Sq. Ft., 250
theater style.
- Accommodations – Audio Visual
services (see #7 Additional Services), Kitchen use (see #7 Additional
Services), chairs, podium, raised stage (2 steps), piano, bookstore access
(space can also be broken down into 3 separate areas).
 MINI AUDITORIUM
- Space - 900 Sq. Ft., 75
Theater style.
- Accommodations – Kitchen use (see
#7 Additional Services), podium, raised stage (1 step), screen, DVD/CD, TV, piano,
white board, bookstore access (space can also be viewed through glass from the
main auditorium or closed with blinds).
2nd FLOOR
CLASSROOM (Gladys Davis Room)
- Space - 24 classroom style
or 45 theater style.
- Accommodations – chairs, 8 tables,
podium, screen, whiteboard, DVD/CD, TV, bookstore access.
 3rd FLOOR MEDITATION
ROOM
- Space - 50 theater style
overlooking ocean.
- Accommodations – chairs, benches,
view of ocean, anti-room for reception (no food or beverage allowed on this
floor), bookstore access.
- *Reserved for
meditation groups or memorial services.
VISITOR CENTER LANAI (Outdoor)
- Space – Outdoor porch surrounding
the entire visitor center adjacent to the meditation garden
- Accommodations – 10 white plastic
chairs, 4 white metal tables and chairs with blue umbrellas (Lessee must make their own
arrangements for any rental equipment. Lessee must be present during scheduled
drop off/pickup times of any rental equipment).
MEDITATION GARDEN 
- Space - Outdoor garden with
approximately 30 theater style seating.
- Accommodations – garden, wooden
bridge, waterfall, walking path, grassy area to accommodate approximately 30
chairs (Lessee must
make their own arrangements for any rental equipment. Lessee must be present
during scheduled drop off/pickup times of any rental equipment).
LABYRINTH/PICNIC
AREA/REFLEXOLOGY (Outdoor)
- Space – Outdoor brick circular
path up on the hill from the visitor’s center overlooking the ocean.
- Accommodations – Any event held at
the labyrinth must be in quiet as not to disturb the Health Center and Spa
clients.
PARKING LOTS
- Space – 67th street lot/80 vehicles, 67th
street upper lot/46 vehicles, 68th street lower lot/10 vehicles, 68th
Street upper lot/10 vehicles, on street parking on 68th street and
access road.
