What is the New Years Youth Conference?
This event is a grand holiday tradition for many an A.R.E. teen. For teens who attended A.R.E. Camp, it's a chance to see many of the friends that they formed connections with over the summer while working together with various Edgar Cayce principles. This is the same for those attending A.R.E.'s Congress at the beach. For others, it's a chance to put their toe in the water - it is a short program that allows them to meet new friends and see what the A.R.E. has to offer to the younger generation.
Created to mirror the Adults' Program, this program has been uniquely designed to appeal specifically to the youth, with an emphasis on loving community, learning and having fun.
The days are filled with fun activities geared toward
the Conference theme of "Heeding the Call of the Universal Consciousness." Included
in these activities is some time spent with the adult conference, a service
project, group discussions, meditation and dreamwork, as much time in nature
as the weather will allow, and some time for old and new friends to just
hang out and get reacquainted. We will definitely be focusing on the body
mind and spirit!
After the evening activity, the youth head back to Camp Pendleton where they will be supervised by experienced counselors. (Returning to lead the counseling staff this year will be Shay Tippens!)
This year's speakers include the Reverends Chris and Sharon Fazel as well as Robert Grant.
