Here's my dream - I have recently begun a spiritual journey
to work out what my life is about. In light of this I had
a curious dream recently. I am part of a Pilate’s exercise
class of 100 people or more. I am exercising and look down
where I realize I am wearing see-thru underwear. The next
stage of the class is an obstacle course which involves climbing
over slippery, steep, sharp, wet rocks, then swimming across
water where a whale is swimming (may be a sperm whale), then
climbing over the next set of rocks (this repeats 3 times
with whales in each section of water after the rocks). After
getting thru this there will be another body of water that
is not choppy and much wider and it is filled this time with
crocodiles. When I am in the first section of water with the
first whale I am very scared and feel I will be crushed by
its tail or have my leg and knee bitten. I love whales in
my waking life but am frightened by their immensity. I woke
up fighting the fear and wanting to go on. Also my backpack
was half undone and I was put off my task because of my concern
about the contents falling out. There was a man in his 50’s
taking the class and supervising the obstacle course. Please
help. –
Dear
Dreamer,
In brief, the dream suggests the following: The exercise class
is suggestive of your attempting to get in shape on your spiritual
journey – the fact that you can see through your underwear
could indicate that this process has you feeling exposed, vulnerable
or unprepared. It might also indicate that – from your
perspective – one of your biggest challenges may be the
issue of feeling “oversexed.” The obstacle course
with the whales and the rocks could indicate that in the midst
of your great spiritual journey (symbolized by the whales),
you have come in contact with one personal obstacle after another.
The portion of the obstacles associated with crocodiles could
indicate that one of my spiritual challenges is “sharp
or biting words,” either said by myself or said about
me by others. The fact that you are frightened by the immensity
of the whales could correspond to your own worries about the
immensity of this journey, the fact that there is so much to
learn, or perhaps the issue related to the need for immense
personal change. Finally, the scene with your backpack suggests
that – at least at the time of your dream – you
may have only been working on your spiritual journey “half-heartedly.”
I hope this all helps. If you are interested in what the Cayce
readings suggested about personal spiritual growth, let me recommend
looking into the possibility of a Search for God group,
which you can find at this link: Spirituality/Growth,
or, you may simply be interested in the book, Twelve Lessons
in Personal Spirituality, by Kevin Todeschi.–
Here's
my dream - I am in Rome, and I see the late Pope
John Paul standing with a group of priests on a high platform.
They are in a huddle in deep conversation. I then turn around
and see the Holy Father standing a few feet away from me. A
friendly black dog is standing next to him; I smile and reach
out to pet the dog. The Holy Father is now standing almost in
my face, his hands are closed tightly, the fingers are curled
under, red and raw; they look very painful. On top of his hands
rests a large Eucharist. I can see that there is a special insignia
of the cross on this very large Eucharist. I open my mouth to
receive the host from him, but realize that I must take the
bread and put it in my own mouth. Pope John Paul says to me,
"take it quickly." I reach out, take the host, and put it in
my mouth. Note: my spiritual life is very important to me. I
just completed a Divine Mercy pledge this past Easter, confessed
to my priest the realization of my need to forgive past hurts.
I work with my dreams regularly but I am not sure how to interpret
this dream. I would truly appreciate your assistance. Thank
you very much.–
Dear
Dreamer,Quite
simply, the dream is suggesting an awareness (or a need) to
take your spiritual life into your own hands - as opposed to
the hands of some external individual. This could mean more
work with prayer, meditation, or discovering more about your
personal belief system. Let me suggest that you read the book
EDGAR CAYCE ON SOUL GROWTH, by Kevin Todeschi.

Here's
my dream - I am at the six-month period in a new
relationship. I am a born-again Christian and my boyfriend (at
the moment) is not. He is open to God but presently is spiritually
dead. The dream I had was about an Asian man who I found to
be a bit dubious, was selling a small creature which was a mix
between a fish and a dolphin. They were quite small and he held
them in his hand. They looked quite dead but still had a little
life in them. Whereby they should have been grayish blue they
were tan as if dead. I bought one, as I believed I wanted one
and I felt I could give it a little hope and comfort however
brief. The creature died on me (or so I thought). I wasn't surprised
or disappointed just expectant that this would happen really
and so put it down to my own choices and consequences. I didn't
have to buy it after all and it did look dead. My youngest daughter
was standing next to me as I put the fish creature into the
sink. I guess I was disposing of it. But, just then I said,
'Hang on a minute, of course it's gonna die, it needs water
to breath'. So I sprinkled it with water and sure enough the
little creatures blowhole began to move. I turned on the tap
and as the water trickled onto the little creature it's eyes
opened up and became really beautiful. So I put the little creature
into a tank of water and it changed into this beautiful Tiger
like fish. It was really beautiful and just like a tiger. The
dream told me that it was my patience, nurturing spirit and
hope that revived it. –
Dear Dreamer,
Great dream! Essentially,
the dream is suggesting that the way you are presenting your
religious beliefs is somewhat foreign to your boyfriend. However,
rather than "throwing out" the relationship because of the differences
between you, the dream may be suggesting that a little "patience,
nurturing spirit and hope" will revive his own interest in spirit
that appears to be dead. Let me suggest that you consider getting
him the book, Edgar Cayce on Soul Growth,
by Kevin Todeschi. It might also be an eye-opener for
you, as well. Good luck to you. The dream is suggesting that
it is too early to give up on this relationship. –
Here's
my dream - Dear A.R.E.: I was recently diagnosed
with cancer and started praying. I believe in God but I do not
subscribe to any religion. One night I dreamt of a choir singing
the song Amazing Grace so beautifully. Since I am not of Christian
faith nor was I thinking about the song, what is the significance?
I remember waking up feeling wonderful considering the circumstance
that I am faced with.–
Dear Dreamer,
The dream seems
to be encouraging your own spiritual search and suggesting that
your pursuit of pray may be extremely helpful in bringing God's
"grace" to your recent health crisis. Rather than holding yourself
apart from religion because of some of the erroneous beliefs
that various individuals subscribe to, perhaps it would be helpful
to see religion as a human-made form to attempt to understand
the various manifestations of spirit in the earth. You might
also want to pursue an understanding of the power of prayer,
as it has been researched by individuals such as Larry Dossey,
M.D. (who by the way, will be coming to a Virginia Beach conference
this year; more information is available at this link: www.edgarcayce.org/conferences/hq_va_beach.asp).
You might also want to further explore some of the Cayce information
on the treatment of cancer, which you can find here:www.meridianinstitute.com/reports/cancer.html).
Good luck to you.

Here's my dream - As background information, my sister
died October14. Since then I have struggled with prayer,
faith, God, Jesus - the whole big picture. Like everything
I've studied and read has flown out the window and I'm at
ground zero again. In my dream I was visiting a friend (one
whom I am estranged from) from high school at their beautiful
home in the country. As I was leaving she asked if I wanted
to see the project they were working on. I said yes. We
walked across their big front yard around a giant hedge
into the land on the other side. There were lots of large
trees and grassland and monkeys and lions. They were living
in peace. Playing together, hanging out together, interacting
like friends. I was stunned. My friend took me to the hotel-like
building housing the people who were watching over the project.
It was elegantly furnished and immaculate even though the
monkeys and lions roamed freely throughout as they wished.
Then I went outside and saw this handsome male lion. He
was talking to me in English and I was shocked that I was
able to understand him. I don't remember what he said but
he was like a wise seer/sage and seemed to be the leader
of it all. I didn't want to wake up. I wanted to stay there.
It was so peaceful. –
Dear Dreamer,
If the dream is
metaphorical, it may suggest that in spite of your relationship
or how your brother may come across, he is extremely controlling,
even to the point of "taking advantage" advantage of you. If
this is the case, it is simply suggesting caution in terms of
complete trust in regards to financial matters, etc. because
he may be prone to putting his interests ahead of your own.
If the dream is literal, it could indicate a past-life connection
and his possible behavior from the past.–
Here's my dream - I just became a member a few hours ago.
I once dreamed about Jesus. These men were trying to stuff Jesus
in a hole in the earth. Jesus was not pleased about this. But
this is not my dream/question. After I had this dream I asked
many of my spiritual friends what they thought the dream meant.
Nobody was really sure what it meant. So one night I went to
bed and was stunned out of a deep sleep by a woman's voice that
explained to me exactly what the dream meant. It was not a dream
of a woman's voice, it seemed more like this voice came from
a different dimension if you will. I was in a deep sleep and
I just remembered a very authoritative voice explaining the
meaning of the dream about Jesus. I have never been able to
contact this voice again nor has she ever come back to me. I
thought maybe it is my subconscious mind but (I am male) why
would the voice be female? I realize the mind has no gender
but I would like to know if you have any idea who this voice
is? Thank you for your help.–
Dear Dreamer,
Obviously, one
interpretation of your dream at the time was your growing understanding
that Jesus could not be limited or "stuffed" into narrowly-defined
parameters that some people want to associate with Him. In other
words, your understanding of the Christ and your understanding
of spirituality probably surpassed the understanding of many
individuals around you. In terms of the voice, as you mentioned
it could be an aspect of your subconscious mind (Cayce might
also use the term "Higher Self"), but it also could be an angelic
presence or guardian that watches over you. In fact, the Edgar
Cayce material suggests that the angelic realms are very much
concerned with each and every soul. More information on the
topic is available in the book, Edgar
Cayce on Angels, Archangels, and the Unseen Forces, by Robert
Grant. –
Here's my dream - I follow Hindu the religion, and I have
been married for 20 years. I recently had a dream that I was
getting married to a Christian in a church. The groom was dressed
in black, although I could not see the color of my dress. What
does this dream mean? –
Dear Dreamer,
As you have surmised,
a Church is connected to the Christian religion. Black can be
associated with the unknown. The fact that you are marrying
an individual in the Church suggests that you are going to have
a relationship of some kind with an unknown quantity - probably
some aspect of spirituality that is connected to Jesus or Christianity.
In other words, I think that the dream is suggesting a spiritual
search in which you are exploring information and insights beyond
your current faith. If this is the case, let me recommend the
book, Why Jesus Taught Reincarnation,
by Herbert Puryear. You will find some interesting correlations
between this superb look at the teachings of Jesus and your
own Hindu faith. –
Here's my dream - I have been searching for my goal or purpose
recently. A couple of nights ago I had a dream. I was caring
for a fish (a flounder) it had been infected by a very ugly,
nasty parasite that occasionally came out, whipping its tentacle
looking thing about looking for another host. My ex-husband
took the fish out of the tank, turned it over and cut into its
soft flesh looking for meat to eat and started eating it. I
cried and cried because I was going to get rid of the parasite
and make the fish well again. I woke up very sad, could you
explain this dream?
Dear Dreamer,
A fish is often
symbolic of spiritual growth and direction. The dream could
suggest that once had an interest in further pursuing your spiritual
path but the influence of your ex-husband may have prevented
you from doing what you had wanted. Since you are interested
in discovering your mission and pursuing your interest in spirituality,
let me recommend two books: Discovering
Your Soul's Purpose, by Mark Thurston, and
Edgar Cayce on Soul Growth, by Kevin Todeschi. Both books
(and many additional materials) are available at: www.arebookstore.com.
Essentially the dream is about looking into your personal spirituality
and overcoming whatever it was that was "eating at you" (e.g.
the parasite). –
Here's my dream - Please, please interpret my dream. I have
written before. I am a 32 year old woman with a social science
and arts background and belong to no particular religion, although
I was raised Catholic. The dream is about a white adobe like
house on the beach with lots of windows facing the water. I
go into the house and I'm sure it is mine but there is no furniture
and as I explore the house I find that some hallways lead to
dead ends like windows you can look in but you can't actually
get into that room or hallways shrink into tiny horizon lines
with a miniature door that no human could fit into. Every couple
of rooms I see a man running away as if hiding. I am angry;
I feel he is an intruder. Finally I go to light the fireplace
in the living room and through the fireplace I see a man running
away down a hallway. I decide I've had enough and an axe appears
in my hand, I am going to tear down the fire place but as I'm
about to hack into the wall I see a black spider and somehow
think it is special and I can't hurt it, so I hack into the
side wall. I keep tearing down walls and the house is a mess
but when I finish all the mess disappears. I look out the window
and see an amazingly beautiful tree. As I look at it somehow
I know it is an acacia tree although I have never seen one and
don't remember hearing any meaning for it. The tree seems to
glow in the night sky and is on an island in front of my house.
Somehow I float through the glass doors of the living room and
across the water to the island. I feel a deep peace as I touch
the trunk of the tree. I lie down under the tree and fall asleep
and wake up to this world.
Dear Dreamer,
As the site states, because of the volume of requests we receive
it is impossible to interpret every dream. Just this week, when
the dream email was open more than 348 dreams had been submitted,
so thank you for your patience. In brief, the dream suggests
that you are in some kind of a personal transformation process
- perhaps deciding to begin life anew after a life change (e.g.
divorce, loss of job), or you are trying to figure out what
to do with your life at this point in time. In any event, the
dream is about tearing down and trying to figure out how things
are working. In that process you will get to the point of understanding
who you are and what you are about. I hope that helps. I would
also recommend reading the book, Discovering
Your Soul's Purpose, by Mark Thurston. –
Here's my dream - I rarely remember my dreams but Monday
morning I finally remembered one. I was walking with someone
but I can't remember who, or what we were talking about. We
were on an urban street and it was nighttime. A black car pulled
up in front of us and the Pope got out of the right, looked
at me and immediately raised his hands and spread a white light
until everything was white. I knew I was dreaming and that the
dream was over and I was a bit disappointed, but then I told
myself it's all ok because all will be revealed later and I
woke myself up within seconds before I had to get up anyways.
It was interesting, but I am lost with that one.
Dear Dreamer,The
dream probably suggests one of two things about current events
in your life. If you are currently having some type of stress,
anxiety or worry in life, the Pope is a hopeful symbol suggesting
that everything will be okay. An even more likely interpretation
might be that the presence of the Pope is suggesting that a
new interested in spirituality is about to enter into your life.
In either event, the dream is definitely positive. –
Here's my dream - Hi, I am a Hindu, and I believe in Sai
Baba. Anyway, I dreamt that Sai Baba was telling me the reason
that he had decided to leave this world. He said that it had
to be this way so that he could come back and reincarnate. While
I was disagreeing with him, he simply dropped in my arms and
died. When I opened my eyes again, he had changed forms to become
Shirdi Sai Baba (his former incarnation), but he was still dead.
Please try to decipher this dream. It's tormenting me ever since.
Dear Dreamer,
To me the dream suggests that you are in some kind of a personal
transformation in which your belief systems are starting to
change. This process will enable you to get back to the very
essence of what you really believe and is simply your own "beliefs"
undergoing their own process of reincarnation and change. I
hope that helps. –
Here's my dream - I had a dream where I was in the bathroom
looking in the mirror. I opened my mouth and a large fish came
out. But the fish was decaying and rotting. After the fish came
out, all of my top teeth on the left side of my mouth started
falling out. I was frightened and also sickened by what was
happening to me. What could this mean?
Dear Dreamer, Fish
are often symbolic of spirituality or religion. The fact that
the fish is rotting and decaying could suggest that there is
spiritual information that you are aware of but have not recently
been applying in your personal life. The fact that this fish
comes out of your mouth might indicate that you do speak about
spiritual principles really need to be applying them. The left
is often associated with the past, and the fact that all of
your left teeth are gone could symbolize that much of your foundation
is missing. Overall, I think that the dream is suggesting that
you need to really begin to apply some of the spiritual principles
that you seem to be aware of. –
Here's my dream - I am a 46-year-old woman that has been
on an in-depth search to integrate the aspects of myself through
various spiritual means. I have labeled myself an addictive
personality. In this dream I was in a very large house in the
living room. The floor of the living room was covered in approximately
6 inches of water and there were 5 or 6 medium sized fish swimming
in the water. I lay down in the water to "play" with
the fish, which they seemed to enjoy. Suddenly the water was
gone. At this point I realized I was dreaming, however I became
very concerned for the fish that were now lying on the floor
struggling to survive. I ran to the kitchen and took a bowl
from the dishwasher and put the fish in it with some water.
The bowl was not big enough so I went out to the back yard to
find something larger. Outside there was a young boy on a bicycle
that pointed toward the back alley. I went though the gate and
saw that I was in a very large canyon. An other boy came out
of a cave holding a statue of Kwan Yin. As I looked up I realized
there was a huge statue of her in the corner. As soon as I recognized
the statue it came to life and Kwan Yin started dancing and
singing to me. She was dressed in a coral colored dress and
she had a calypso appearance...All the while I am still fully
aware of the fact that I am dreaming. She told me to laugh and
have fun and right before I decided to wake up she said that
"forgive and the alcohol and other things will simply fall
away." Thanks for any insight you can lend to this dream.
Dear Dreamer,
Essentially the dream is suggesting that in spite of your "in-depth
search," you have yet to become deeply personally involved with
any aspect of this spiritual search. You have played around
with various aspects of the search, like the fish, but dream
is encouraging you to find something that you can relate to
and really begin to become involved personally. Secondly, the
dream is suggesting that you may have the tendency to be too
serious and that you need to lighten up a little and have more
fun. In other words, it's possible to be deeply serious about
something on the spiritual path and still have fun with your
life journey. Good luck to you. –
Here's my dream - I've been having dreams where I'm standing
at the entrance of a church and multitudes of people are rushing
past me to get inside. I have this overwhelming feeling that
I have been chosen to do battle with the devil. The people running
past me to get inside the church are the people I'm trying to
protect. In all my dreams, I feel that I am the last hope and
I have to protect mankind against this evil. I have had dreams
where I have encountered this evil and have defeated him but
only with God's help. I can't shake this feeling. What does
it mean?
Dear Dreamer,
Keeping in mind the fact that most elements and images in a
dream are pertinent to the dreamer, the people you are "saving"
are aspects of yourself and/or elements of your life. Standing
at the entrance to a church suggests that you are on the threshold
of a new spiritual search and/or a new spiritual understanding.
That search will lead you to where you need to go to solve whatever
issues or problems are currently confronting your life. Overall,
I think the dream is encouraging you to begin a search for self-understanding
and spiritual meaning. Good luck to you. –
Here's my dream
- I don’t normally
remember my dreams, so the fact that I can remember this scares
me a little. I dreamt that I was living back at my parent’s
house. In real life, I am a 37 –year-old woman, so I’ve
been out of their house for years and they don’t even
live there anymore and they’re divorced. The pool in their
backyard was filled with mucky water, had a pool cover over
some of it, and there was a very large fish and a very large
snake swimming around in it. Nothing else of interest really
happened in my dream. I was just standing over the pool looking
into it, and feeling kind of nervous. I never fell in. My mother-in-law
tells me that dreaming about water and about snakes is not a
good thing. Can you please tell me what this means? Thank you
so much for your time and consideration.
Dear Dreamer,
First of all, your mother-in-law is mistaken, dreams about snakes
and water can have all kinds of meaning – it depends on
the overall dream imagery and storyline. For example, water
is often a symbol of spirit or emotion. A snake is often symbolic
of sexuality; sometimes it can be related to the energy of meditation
or of healing (e.g. the medical caduceus). Secondly, dreams
are not necessarily “bad,” instead they try to present
a symbolic picture of what is occurring in the dreamer’s
own life. With all this in mind, one possibility suggested by
the dream is that you are having some of the same issues in
life that your parents had in their life – possibilities
might be relationship issues, financial issues, sex issues,
etc. The mucky water of the pool is suggestive of some kind
of emotional confusion or upset that needs to be cleaned up.
The large fish might be associated with some kind of spiritual
search or a personal search for meaning (e.g. “Why am
I here?”). The snake could be connected to issues or problems
with a male energy (e.g. husband or boss). Overall, I think
the dream is reflecting your own confusion regarding issues
you have in life and you’re wondering what to do about
those issues. The water is mucky because the issues have been
longstanding. If the fish is related to personal spirituality,
I would suggest you begin doing a spiritual search in addition
to whatever you need to do to address some of these longstanding
problems – perhaps counseling could be helpful. –
Here's my dream - I dreamt that there was rows of perfectly
lined up closed caskets. The body of our Search for God leader
[a spiritual discussion group based on the Edgar Cayce information;
see this link for more information: http://edgarcayce.org/spirituality/growth_sfg.html
was lying on top of each one dressed in black shoes, a black
suit, and a white shirt. His hands were folded across his chest.
In my minds eye, I zoomed in close and it appeared that he was
dead but at the end of this row was his spirit. I had no emotions
at all. Just like I was viewing it but it was a pleasant feeling.
Dear Dreamer,
One possibility suggested by the dream is that you are considering
ending your affiliation with the group at this particular time.
Whether it’s because of your schedule or other factors,
the presence of the dead body suggests that you’re group
work may have died. The fact that he is standing in spirit at
the end of the row, giving you a positive feeling, could indicate
that your time in the group has been a positive experience (and
something that will remain with you) but right now you feel
a need to move on. –
Here's my dream - Hi, I am from Bulgaria. Two weeks ago
I had the strangest dream – I dreamt of God holding my
face. He had his hands on my cheeks and I felt a very pleasant
and intense warmth coming from His hands, so warm that I woke
up. He looked much younger than I had always imagined Him and
He was smiling. There was a man in the dream too, someone I
know. First I thought it was my ex, then I thought it was my
present boyfriend but now I am not quite sure who it was. Anyway,
the man said: “Come on, now it’s your turn...”
I remember waking up and feeling really good, as if I had been
blessed. Can you tell me what my dream means, please! Thank
you so much!
Dear Dreamer,
One possibility suggested by the dream may be that part of you
has been searching for happiness in another person (e.g. your
ex0, your boyfriend, etc.) and the dream is trying to encourage
you to focus more of your “search” toward God. In
that way, the dream is suggesting that you will find the happiness
you are really looking for. An alternative interpretation would
be that the time has come to place your self first, rather than
always putting other people ahead of you. –
Here's my dream - I’m in a church praying and the
church is empty. A priest, dressed in black, comes up to me
and drops a handful of Eucharist wafers on the floor in front
of me. I felt disrespect and got angry with him. I left the
church vowing never to return. Outside it is raining, a light
spring shower. In the distance is see the priest standing next
to a black limo. A man is holding a black umbrella over his
head. The priest glares in my direction. We lock eyes and the
feelings are not pleasant. He looks away and continues talking
to the men around him, who are dressed in black too. I decide
to walk in the rain. The raindrops feel good on my body. The
raindrops reflect like mirrors and I feel good. I get inside
my car – it is a 1950s style car, and although old it
is in good condition. I turn the key and realize the battery
is dead. What is the message of this dream? Your input is appreciated.
Dear Dreamer,The
dream suggests that you may be undergoing personal changes in
both your spiritual life and your life’s direction. In
terms of the spiritual life, there seems to be some kind of
mistrust/frustration with your religious upbringing and a sense
that your current spiritual beliefs are much more freeing and
refreshing – like a “light spring shower.”
The 50s style car suggests that the life’s direction you
had been leading has come to a standstill or there is no more
“life” in what you’ve been doing up to this
point. In other words, the time has come for you to make a change.
Overall, the dream is about changes in your spiritual attitude
and with your sense of who and what you are. –
Here's my dream - I became conscious in my dream of standing
about 10-12 feet before God, who was seated in an executive
office chair. Jesus was standing behind, about 6 feet and to
the right of God with his hands clasped behind his back. (Both
were wearing blue pinstriped suits.) The room was a large marble,
pillared and "open" style of hall – so large
there were no walls to be seen. God was telling me that I had
to step out of my comfort zone. Jesus stood there nodding in
agreement and making eye contact but not speaking. I asked what
was meant by the comment, but was being pulled away backwards
by two large white-robed men. I kept struggling to stay and
saying, no! I need to find out more! I noticed there was an
extremely long line of people waiting their turn for an audience.
It came to me that we were given information, but it was not
a time for conversation. Obviously, this was very irritating
to me by all the struggling as I was being pulled back. This
was only a couple weeks ago and the faces of God and Jesus are
the only things to have faded from me. I'm not sure what comfort
zone I need to step out of, but it has given me a lot of things
to think about.
Dear Dreamer,
I had the dream, my first thought would be that somehow “stepping
out of my comfort zone” referred to somehow expanding
my personal belief system, my spiritual thoughts, or my ideas
about religion. In other words, the dream suggests that there
is more for me to learn. If it’s not about religion, the
dream could be suggesting that it is about work (because of
the dress suit attire) and that somehow I need to utilize my
spiritual resources to “step out of my comfort zone”
in regards to something that is occurring in the office. In
other words, I may need to try to fix it rather than ignore
it. –
Here's my dream - My family has been under an incredible
amount of stress. The area we relocated to has brought us nothing
but bad things. Presently my son is overwhelmed with taunts
from his peers and feels he doesn’t care anymore. (I’m
getting him help.) We are desperately trying to get out of Georgia
and return to California. Anyway, I dreamt I was with my parents
and then I felt a strong need to go to church to make a “confession.”
I’m Catholic. However, I really have nothing to confess
as I try to live by Edgar Cayce’s teachings. I enter the
church and I find a nun, who I had in grade school. I take her
hand and with great depth of feeling I tell her I need to make
confession. Instead of going to the confessional she sets me
in a wooden chair that spins. The priest is looking on as we
are on an altar of sorts with the congregation looking on at
me and the setting is rather dark. The nun starts to spin the
chair and it is spinning so fast I can feel the force of gravity
against my body. I don’t understand what is going on and
then I wake up. I really need to get my family out of here.
We are being ripped apart by gossip, and a general sense of
fear in living here. People are very judgmental here and prone
to much gossip. While we too could spread things, I have told
my family that we will not go that way for it will come back
on us tenfold. In the meantime, we suffer greatly. I know the
dream is rather insignificant and really has no meaning that
I can see, but it feels good to tell someone. Thanks. And thanks
for the wonderful work you do keeping Edgar Cayce’s teaching
alive. They have been my rock. For even though I’d like
to give these people a taste of their own meanness, I know that
because I know what is right and wrong, it would be a greater
sin for me to react in an unchristian way. God Bless.
Dear Dreamer,
The dream may simply be illustrating your feelings on somehow
being put on the spot, watched, and observed and expected to
“confess.” The images of the priest and nun are
probably your subconscious mind’s way of trying to demonstrate
how the same “guilt” and scrutiny you felt as a
child has repeated itself in your present experience. Good luck
to you and your family. –
Here's my dream - My dream is very short; it occurred during
a sweat lodge encounter. I have had a workshop in Silva Mind
Control. I was using my usual image of an elevator to go “down”
to a deeper level of consciousness. I entered the elevator and
pressed the button to go deeper into other levels of the mind.
When the elevator stopped the door would not open, so I tried
to pry it open. It opened maybe an inch. I obviously couldn’t
go through, so I then turned to smoke and went through the crack.
On the other side of the door was a fireball. Due to distractions
within the sweat lodge the dream sequence stops here. I tried
to recapture it, but the same thing occurred each time.
Dear Dreamer,There
can be dangers associated with trying to “pry” open
levels of the unconscious mind. In all likelihood, the closed
door that appears each time may be a safety shield between you
and some unresolved issue from the long ago past that might
deal with a great deal of anger or unresolved hurt (the red
ball of fire). Rather than trying to open up levels of consciousness
by force, the Edgar Cayce information suggests that it is much
more helpful to simply meditate and try to attune to higher
ideals and states of awareness. For additional information on
dangerous doorways to the unconsciousness, let me recommend
the book Venture Inward, by Hugh Lynn Cayce. –
Here's my dream - Here is a strange dream for you. I was
in Virginia Beach during New Years Eve and joined the A.R.E.
I bought the book Awakening Your Psychic Powers, by Henry Reed,
in your bookstore and read some of it later in the hotel. That
night I dreamed of Edgar Cayce of all things. He was standing
on a skyscraper like the Empire State Building with two lower
sides flanking a central spire that soared up out of sight.
There was a woman on the other side but I didn’t know
who. They were both quite bright and full of energy. They raised
their arms and I soared up to where they were and hung there
in the air. I don’t think they said anything but I know
I was being told something. Seems like I needed to get where
they were or wanted to but I can’t recall the details,
then I floated back down and woke up – very strange.
Dear Dreamer,
The dream is simply suggesting that the next stage of your own
growth in consciousness is going to be stimulated by your exploration
of the Edgar Cayce information. The woman next to Mr. Cayce
could be symbolic of your own higher self, which has already
achieved the level of awareness you may associate with the Cayce
material. With this in mind, the dream is suggesting you are
on the path to awakening your higher self. –
Here's my dream - I was dreaming that Edgar Cayce and I
were standing in mid-air between the A.R.E. Hospital and Atlantic
University across the street. He kept trying to tell/teach me
something and repeating it to me. What I can remember him saying
to me was the word Cabala and the number 5. Please help me with
this if you can. I’ve been having a lot of spiritual types
of dreams lately.
Dear Dreamer,
For those interested in his work, in a dream Edgar Cayce can
be a symbol of personal transformation, spirituality, or the
Edgar Cayce readings themselves. The Cabala is a set of mystical
and spiritual writings associated with Jewish tradition. The
number five is often associated numerologically with change
or new beginnings. Taken together, I think the dream is suggesting
that your interest in materials such as that found in the Cayce
readings and Jewish mysticism is going to lead to a new direction
for you in life. It might also be an indication that in addition
to your interest in the Cayce work, you may also want to begin
exploring the Cabala. –
Here's my dream - Recently I had a dream of myself working
in a cafe (I’m a writer), living in a cold, snowy environment
(currently I live on the sunny West Coast, but have lived in
NYC). In this dream an angel in plain clothes appeared to me
and told me I would die at the age of 28 (I’m 27, approaching
my 28th birthday in 2 months). This angel said when I see a
certain “plot” in the city that I would have a week
left to live. The angel told me not worry that he/she would
be with me everyday until I passed. In the dream I had been
feeling angry for working at a job I didn’t like, but
felt calm, serene once the angel told me what would happen.
I have had prophetic dreams since childhood and come from a
family of gifted, intuitive people. I am terrified this dream
has some literal meaning. Please help explain. Thank you. Scared
in LA.
Dear Dreamer,
Most often dreams of personal death are related to complete
life changes and not literal, physical death. With this in mind,
the dream suggests that part of your is tired of your present
life – your job, your surroundings, perhaps even where
you live. The dream is suggesting that a spiritual influence
(the angel) in a relatively short period of time is going to
have such an impact upon you that your life changes completely.
In fact, it suggests that you may look back on this period of
your life and be able to say something like, “That’s
where the old me died and the new me began.” Perhaps the
experience will even give you something extraordinary to write
about. All the best. –
Here's my dream - I quite enjoy this website. I belong to
a Search for God study group ( see this link for more information:
http://edgarcayce.org/spirituality/growth_sfg.html
) and I recently had a dream that I was flying and that there
was a type of white butterfly I was chasing. It was not a creature
of this world. It was fragile looking with white see-through
wings. It was about a foot or two in size. I was flying after
it and trying to catch it – not really to catch it but
more to hold it and fly with it and possibly even to help it.
But it was afraid of me and eluded me in its fear of being hurt.
I was always beside it but could not grasp it or hold it. I
just wanted to clasp its body and hold it a lot as we both would
continue to fly. I have been trying to figure out what it could
mean. I pray regularly and have been doing a lot of praying
for and trying to channel healing to my mother who has been
diagnosed with cancer. Can the dream butterfly mean that my
mother is afraid to trust (she is quite full of fears) or is
it a reflection of my own limitations? Thank you.
Dear Dreamer,
Oftentimes butterflies are symbolic of personal transformation
or personal spirituality. The fact that you are attracted to
this butterfly but unable to quite grasp it suggests that there
may be something about your spiritual interests and growth that
still eludes you. It might also indicate that just as you begin
to reach out and understand something it is as though the “goal”
seems even further off. Rather than being about fear or limitation,
I think the butterfly is symbolic of your ever-expanding worldview
and the awareness that there is much more for you to reach out
and grasp than you first realized.–
