Physical Readings - 9603
The Edgar Cayce Foundation has copies of 32 readings from
the early years without recorded dates. The first date of
record is 1902 for an adult fernale, the next in 12/12/1902
for a 5 year old girl. (Undated readings would not necessarily
have been given prior to 1902.) The last physical reading
on record is 194-212 for Edgar Cayce himself on 9/17/1944.
Life Readings: 1920
The Edgar Cayce Foundation has a record of one reading [4948-1
] without a recorded date. The first date of record is for
case 4811 in 191 1. The mother requested vocational guidance
for her teenage son but the reading itself emphasized influences
brought from the "other side" and past life strengths and
weaknesses which places it in the life reading category. Previously
it was thought that 5717 [Arthur Lammers] had the first life
reading on 10/1 1/1923. The Foundation does not have a copy
of that reading. The last life reading on record is 5392-1
given for a 46 year old male on 8/28/1944.
Special-956
The "special" category is where miscellaneous subject matter
readings are classified. These readings range from unusual
instances of Mr. Cayce's clairvoyance to missing persons or
buried treasure. In this category are found, among others,
special subject matter series such as the Work Readings, Aura
Chart, Prayer Group and Study Group readings. There are 48
undated readings in the "special" category. The first date
of records is for an adult male on 12/13/1907. It is a letter
of record attesting to the special clairvoyant abilities of
Edgar Cayce. The last is 254-116, the last work reading given
by Mr. Cayce on 8/28/1944.
Business Readings-747
The Edgar Cayce Foundation has a record of one reading [4964-
1 ] for an adult male without a recorded date. The first date
of record is 1921 [3718-1] for an adult male and the last
on record is 3344-3 for a 46 year old male given on 7/21/1944.
Dream Readings-630
The first dream reading on record, 900-8, was given on 11/2/1924
for a 27 year old male. The last was 540-18 given on 7/9/1942
for a 38 year old female.
Mental Spiritual Readings-450
The first mental spiritual reading on record is 4348-1 for
a 38 year old male on 6/21/1917. The last reading was 2175-8
on 8/24/1944 for a 32 year old female.
