EURO CONGRESS 2007
Furuboda, Sweden

August 31 - September 2, 2007

Euro Congress 2007 will take place at an educational facility in the village of Furuboda in Southern Sweden, August 31-September 2, 2007.

Furuboda Association Folk High School,
Conference and Competence Centre

Theme: There is a river...

Undoubtedly, there is a river in which we all flow. This is also the title of Thomas Sugrue's famous biography of Edgar Cayce. Let us be aware of the flow of the Universe, and make use of it. This is the theme of the upcoming Euro Congress.

Venue

The organizing team of Euro Congress 2007 chose the Furuboda Competence Centre, in Southern Sweden, as an appropriate venue. It is a high school started in 1960 by a group of enthusiastic people who considered that youngsters with physical handicaps should have the same access to education as others. After a modest start, this school has grown, and it now employs almost 200 people working on both national and international projects. It is the largest employer in the area. The activities are run by an association of volunteers. Their vision is to create responsible people thinking for themselves. It is a non-profit organization based on Christian principles, but it also works actively with science and modern research.

The atmosphere there is fully compatible with the thinking of Edgar Cayce. It is a caring environment, accessible for people with all kinds of handicaps, it is near Mother Nature, only half a mile from the sea and surrounded by a beautiful forest.

Their website, www.furuboda.se, is mostly in Swedish, but an English summary is available by clicking on "welcome" on the left menu. It also features an aerial view of the place and a map to Furuboda.

Furuboda is situated south of the towns of Kristianstad (20 miles) and Åhus (8 miles). Kristianstad is connected, through the main railway, to Kastrup airport in Copenhagen. People coming by car may take the new bridge from Copenhagen to Malmö, then follow the European road E22, and before Kristianstad take roads 19 and 118 South towards Furuboda.

Program

The Congress will start on Friday afternoon, August 31, and continue until Sunday afternoon, September 2. All the lecturers at Euro Congresses are volunteers.

The talks will be given in English. Translation into Swedish will be provided as a service to the Scandinavian audience. There is always the possibility to have interpreters, if necessary. However, groups coming to the Euro Congress and needing an interpreter from English into their native tongue are encouraged to have a competent interpreter within their group.

The main auditorium can seat 200 persons. It is modern, in light colors and well equipped. All the talks will be audio recorded (on cassettes and CDs), so there will be little need to take notes.

A smaller conference room has been booked for parallel activities, such as workshops and therapies.

The program, in short, is as follows:

An optional bus tour on Friday morning will guide the participants along the coast south of the House of Apples in Kivik, in the middle of the apple growers' district. The tour will go along the national reserve park of Havãng.

Friday, after lunch Alice Bonnefoi, from the International Outreach at A.R.E. (Association for Research and Enlightenment, in Virginia Beach, USA), will start the Congress with an opening talk about soul groups. Jim Commander, a veteran in the music industry, will then give a workshop on the aura and its musical connection. His work with music is based on healing properties associated with the chakras. The evening will close with a dinner and other activities.

Saturday will start with a group meditation led by Eleine Lachance from Portugal. Kevin Todeschi, the new CEO of A.R.E. after Charles Thomas Cayce, will lecture about the Akashic Records. Then William van Rossum, from Netherlands, will speak about Cosmic Rays.

After lunch, Sten Bohn, a Swedish osteopath with 35 years of experience, will share his views on the development of Osteopathy from Cayce until today. The German medical doctor Petra Köhne, who practices aura healing, will introduce this therapy and demonstrate the method she uses.

An Edgar Cayce EuroCongress dinner, with some entertainments and activities, will close the day.

Sunday will open with a group meditation led by Françoise Souberbielle from France. Kevin Todeschi will then lead a discussion with a panel of European leaders about possibilities for intensified cooperation between the Cayce international organizations. Sanfred Jansson, a Swedish healer and therapist for 19 years, will share his experience on how angels provide us with all the help, support and guidance we ever need.

After lunch, Tutter Garset from Denmark will talk about Atlantis and Lemuria. Stefanie Piel from Germany will round up the EuroCongress on the theme: All is One.

A detailed program and schedule, as well as a PowerPoint presentation, are available on the Web site of the Edgar Cayce Foundation in Southern Sweden: http://www.edgarcayce.se/europe/congressinfo2007.html

Lodging and Food

The 80 rooms available at the Competence Centre have been booked for the Congress. Other facilities are available in the neighbourhood. ÅhusStrand Hotel is only 10 km (6 miles) away, at the seaside. It is a modern residence at modest prices (see www.ahusstrand.com). Also in Åhus is a modern campground for those who enjoy camping. Meals will be served in the Furuboda cafeteria. Every day they will serve lunch and dinner, including soup and three choices of main dishes: meat, fish or vegetables.

Social events

The most important thing at a Euro Congress is the possibility to meet other Cayce people. Ample time will be set for this.

Participants will be near nature. Reading 3374-1 states: "... the best way to keep yourself young - to stay close to nature, close to those activities in every form of exercise that breathes in the deep ozone and the beauty of nature."

On Friday morning, an optional visit to the modern apple centre in Kivik has been scheduled. Kivik is the fruit capital of Sweden, and September may be the best time to see how the fruits are processed. For those interested in doing some sightseeing before and/or after the Congress, the area offers many attractive sites and activities.

An Edgar Cayce EuroCongress dinner will take place on Saturday night.

Costs

Every effort has been made to keep the cost reasonable, so that many people can afford to go to the EuroCongress.

The Congress tuition for the three days is approximately US $215 (1500 SEK). Registration forms are available at www.edgarcayce.se/europe/registration2007.html The prices are in Swedish Krona (SEK). 1 SEK is about 0.1 Euro or 0.14 US dollar.

The Euro Congress 2007 organizing team - Gudrun Kjellander, Gun Olofsson, Gösta Montelius, Kurt Gramm, and Ulf Westman - welcomes you to the wonderful southern region of Sweden, and will do its very best to make the event a success.
