"...the purpose of the heart is to know yourself to
be yourself and yet one with God..." Edgar
Cayce reading 281-37
In meditation we set the intention to harmonize ourselves in body, mind and spirit, with God's Creative Forces. Whether we sit in the "Silence" or affirm an Ideal, the events occurring in meditation can present us with many choices. Meditating is both easy and challenging, yet many folks find the challenge more readily than the ease. Holistic Meditation is an approach that is as easy and natural as saying "please and thank you." It is based upon principles in the Edgar Cayce readings, developed in concert with psychological research on meditation and integrates spiritual literature. Holistic meditation is easy to learn, and provides a path of expanding consciousness into the divine.
Henry Reed says:
"I personally have practiced several forms of meditation over the years, including those designed for consciousness raising, healing, channeling, and visionary experiences. I've helped many people who have had trouble meditating find a way to enjoy learning to meditate. The method of meditation I teach, "Holistic Meditation," has something immediate to offer to at all three levels: body, mind, spirit. At the physical level, the meditation brings about relaxation as well as physical rejuvenation. At the mental level, the meditation brings peace and insights. At the spiritual level, the meditation brings the experience of oneness with God and inspiration. The training exercises I have prepared for you brings together the best psychology, spirituality, and perennial wisdom-and brings out the best in you-whether you are an experienced meditator or just learning how to meditate. The material I'll be sharing with you almost guarantees that the eGroup learning experiences will be enjoyable if also challenging and enlightening. What I especially like about this approach to meditation is that first timers and those who have had trouble with meditation find this one an easy one to get into, and those who have been meditating for a long time find themselves having special experiences they've not had before in meditation."

What's An e-Group?
Your A.R.E. eGroup will meet on an Internet discussion board. This discussion board has been created especially for A.R.E. by BulletinBoards.com, a secure Internet site that makes learning online interactive and easy. In Internet terms, your eGroup is called a "discussion board", a virtual meeting room where you will join with other like-minded people and your mentor, Henry Reed, in an interactive discussion on Holistic Meditation.
In the virtual meeting room, you will have access to the written and audio materials prepared for you by Henry. Every Wednesday, he will post a lesson along with exercises for you to practice during the week. Posting is very similar to sending an e-mail, except that all the e-mails are viewed within your virtual meeting room. You may post your thoughts, questions, and experiences on the site for Henry and the other participants to read and respond to. In this way, everyone will benefit from one another's experiences and insights and the coaching offered by Henry to individuals.
Once you register for your A.R.E. eGroup, we will send you an
e-mail from eGroups@edgarcayce.org detailing how to access and navigate our
discussion board for the eGroup Holistic Meditation.
Then, you're in! You will be able to visit your eGroup any time you desire.
The meeting room is accessible 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week and you may participate
at your convenience from anywhere in the world. There are no specified times
that you have to be in the room. You decide when and how often you wish to
participate.
If you would like more information or to be
notified when a group is forming,
please e-mail us at egroups@edgarcayce.org.
