Eula Allen (May 15, 1899- March 1,1978) was a member of Study Group #1 and a close friend of Edgar Cayce. Eula initially came to Edgar Cayce for a physical reading in 1941 and immediately became involved with A.R.E. activities including the House Committee, Congress, and writing the weekly A.R.E. Newsletter. She was the author of The Creation Trilogy and a regular speaker on topics including reincarnation, creation, meditation and Atlantis. She was a guiding light drawing many young people to A.R.E. She followed the suggestion from her own reading (2454-3): "(Q) How can I best apply my understanding for the benefit of others? (A) Put it on paper, and publish it!" This talk, "Stimulating Intuition Through Meditation" from the Archives explores the benefits of A Search for God Study Groups.
Dr. Carlos Alvarado, PhD joined Atlantic University as Scholar in Residence in June, 2010. He has been professionally involved in parapsychology since the 1980s working for prestigious facilities including the University of Virginia, the Parapsychology Foundation, and the Institute for Parapsychology (now Rhine Research Center). His work has focused on education, the psychological study of out-of-body experiences and other phenomena, and historical perspectives in parapsychological studies. His scientific and scholarly papers have appeared in such journals as Australian Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, Imagination, Cognition and Personality, Journal of Near-Death Studies, Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease, Journal of Parapsychology, Journal of Scientific Exploration, and the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research.
Rachel Alvidrez, is the Educational Services Coordinator at Atlantic University. One of her roles at the
University is to coordinate all aspects of the A.R.E. eGroups; ensuring topics are relevant to the Cayce
work and A.R.E. teachings and that participants have the most spiritually enriching experience possible.

J.P. Amonte graduated with honors from Palmer West Chiropractic College, was welcomed into the Pi Tau Delta Honor Society, and was awarded the "Virgil Strang Philosophy Award" for his Cayce-based approach to patient health. John Amoroso, PhD, MBA Dr. Amoroso's spiritual awakening began more than 25 years ago with his exposure to the Edgar Cayce readings and subsequent enrollment in Atlantic University. Today, he has established himself as a transpersonal psychotherapist and educator, is a faculty member of AU, and holds a doctorate in clinical psychology. PMH Atwater, LHD, is one of the original researchers in the field of near-death studies, having begun her work in 1978, after having three such experiences of her own. Julie Beischel, PhD, is the Co-Founder and Director of Research at the Windbridge Institute for Applied Research in Human Potential. In addition, she is a full member of the Parapsychological Association and the Society for Scientific Exploration and serves on the scientific advisory boards of the Rhine Research Center and Forever Family Foundation. She holds a BS in Environmental Sciences from Northern Arizona University and a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology with a minor in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Arizona. Stephen E. Braude is Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Department at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Scientific Exploration. He studied Philosophy and English at Oberlin College and the University of London, and in 1971 he received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. After publishing a number of articles in the philosophy of language, temporal logic, and the philosophy of time, he turned his attention to several related problems in the philosophy of science and mind. Prof. Braude also examined the evidence of parapsychology to see whether it would provide new insights into these and other traditional philosophical issues. After that, he shifted his focus to problems in philosophical psychopathology, writing extensively on the connections between dissociation and classic philosophical problems as well as central issues in parapsychology—for example, the unity of consciousness, multiple personality and moral responsibility, and the nature of mental mediumship. June Avis Bro found her life deeply affected by working daily with Edgar Cayce. She has set about sharing her resultant interests with others as a pastoral counselor and as a minister, as well as by using her skills in the performing arts. She has a graduate ministerial degree from Andover-Newton Theological School in the Boston area, and a doctorate from Chicago Theological Seminary. In addition to teaching on six campuses while raising five children, she has been a research assistant at Harvard, lectured and held workshops in many cities, led overseas tours to the Near East and China, and served as pastor. Robert Brown , the author of We Are Eternal: What the Spirits Tell Me About Life After Death, was born with the gift of mediumship. Edgar Evans Cayce (1918-2013) was the youngest son of Edgar and Gertrude Cayce. He was an electrical engineer for 43 years before his retirement and married for over 60 years. Before his death, he was a Trustee Emeritus of the A.R.E., as well as a devoted grandfather and golfer. One of A.R.E.'s authorities on Atlantis, his book Edgar Cayce on Atlantis explores the latest discoveries in the search for Atlantis along with evidence of its destruction. Al Chewning, author, historian, and storyteller, is a Virginia Beach native and retired fire captain with a degree in history and a love for teaching. He combines the two in a way that is both entertaining and educational with "Histories and Haunts" which explores the facts, lore, and legends of Virginia Beach's haunted history (Historiesandhaunts.com). Ann Lee Clapp
Ann Lee Clapp has been involved with the Edgar Cayce material for decades. She has researched many areas of the readings with special emphasis on ancient Egypt, the Essenes, the life and times of Jesus, and the connection between these periods. She has been a resource person for tours to Egypt and Israel, and has had the rare opportunity to stay overnight in the Great Pyramid. Ann is a student, teacher, and resource person on the subject of Egypt in the Cayce Readings. She also conducts an ongoing Egypt study group in Virginia Beach. Candis Collins, MSW is currently the Dean of Student Services and Admissions at Atlantic University (AU), an
accredited online graduate-level institution offering a Master of Arts Degree in Transpersonal Studies
and continuing education courses for working professionals. Her life has been one of service. She served
with the U.S. Navy for over 20 years with ever-increasing responsibilities in the Aviation Administration
field before completing a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA.
For five years, she served patients and family members dealing with chronic illness as a social worker in a
Dialysis unit. She also has a Master of Arts (MA) in Transpersonal Studies from AU. In

Terri Daniel is a spiritual teacher who works with assistance from the other side to help people understand birth, death, and the afterlife in a new way. She is also a channeler, hospice worker, and Certified Transition Guide. Joanne DiMaggio, MA, has been actively involved with A.R.E. since 1987. In May 2010, Joanne earned her Master's in Transpersonal Studies degree through Atlantic University. Her culminating project was on Inspirational Writing and she has given talks on this subject to A.R.E. groups around the country. She is mentoring online eGroup on inspirational writing in June. A member of the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists and a graduate of the Eastern Institute of Hypnotherapy as a Certified Hypnotherapist, Joanne completed additional training in hypnosis at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. Jim Dixon was actively involved in the work of the Association for Research and Enlightenment from 1956 until his death in 2011. Moving from Texas to Virginia Beach in January 1993, Jim joined the A.R.E. headquarters staff, serving as Manager of the Search for God study group department for 3 years before expanding his duties to become a Representative for the Search for God Program and as roving ambassador for the A.R.E. Jim traveled throughout the United States, Canada and other countries, offering lecture programs, conferences, seminars and retreats based upon the readings. He also served as a member of the national A.R.E. Board of Trustees for two terms.
