Esther Wynne: From the Archives
was a Norfolk school teacher when she met Edgar Cayce. Following that meeting, she
went on to become one of the founders of A.R.E. Study Group activities as a member of Study Group No.
1, the first Cayce study group which began meeting in 1931. The group worked toward spiritual
awakening through meditation and prayer, dream interpretation, Bible study, and changes to diet and
thoughts as directed by Edgar Cayce's Readings. The lessons given to the study group, a collective work
