A.R.E. Camp in Rural Retreat, Va. offers fun, relaxation, inspiration, spiritual community, and joyful
learning. This peaceful atmosphere, with sessions for individuals of all ages as well as families, is a place
of transformation in body, mind, and spirit. The camp, located in a beautiful valley between two
mountain ridges, is surrounded by gorgeous wilderness. The ideal of A.R.E. Camp is to provide an
environment where the holistic Cayce concepts can be explored in practical ways, where a simple
lifestyle can celebrate our spiritual heritage, and where individuals can practice love and service with
In the early morning hours of June 5, the A.R.E. Camp Dining Hall became engulfed in flames before
burning completely to the ground. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the fire. However, this comes as
devastating news to the A.R.E. community and campers who were preparing for another year of
tradition and summer fun in Rural Retreat, Va. Despite this momentous setback, the A.R.E. activities will
go on as planned, and the A.R.E. is deploying the best creative resources to ensure campers experience

This special episode includes a presentation by Patrick Belisle, the director of A.R.E.'s Office of
Development, just days after the fire. He is actively involved with the camp teaching meditation and
dream work to young people at A.R.E. Camp for 15 years. Following that update, the show will feature
an interview with the current Camp Manager, Malenka Kaydan with more on how the camp is preparing
upcoming programs and events.
Donald B. Carroll spent his career working in Fire & Rescue, as a district chief, academy
instructor, and paramedic. During those 30 years, he raised a family and pursued the meaning of
life through extended study into the Cayce readings and other spiritual, scientific, and
philosophical materials. Today, Carroll is a regular speaker and writer of metaphysical topics
from Cayce to the Kundalini. He spent 10 years researching and writing his latest work, Sacred
Geometry and Spiritual Symbolism: The Blueprint for Creation. Carroll is also an
international tour leader for the nonprofit Association for Research and Enlightenment, visiting
sites of a spiritual nature across the globe including a tour to New Mexico and Mesa Verde to
explore the Native American cultures that thrived in this area. The trip includes excursions to

Denise Furgason and Ellen Selover have been teaching Eden Energy Medicine since 2004 to audiences around the country. Both are certified as Eden Energy Medicine Practitioners; Eden Energy Medicine Foundations Instructors, and Authorized EM101 and EM102 Teachers. Since 2007 they have served on Donna Eden’s staff of Teaching Assistants. Ellen and Denise are both former A.R.E. staff members of more than 20 years and lifelong students of the Cayce readings.
