Parking
Parking is usually available near all buildings. During the summer conference season, the parking lot at the Visitor’s Center is left open for visitors, and we are all asked to park on the service road parallel to Atlantic Avenue, if we are working in the Visitor’s Center.
Breaks
and Lunch Period
Staff and Volunteer Lounges are located both on the North and South Porches
of the Headquarters Building. You are welcome there for breaks or lunch.
There are coffee pots and hot water available for tea in all buildings.
Volunteers are welcome to coffee during their assignment. You may elect
to bring a coffee mug with you to use.
Emergency
Phone Numbers
Each department keeps
a list of Emergency Contact phone numbers. Your departmental Orientation
should cover the location of this document in your area of service. This
list is up-dated periodically and is helpful should an unforeseen situation
arise.

Meditation
Because the Cayce readings
suggest daily meditation as a collective group on a daily basis. The total
period is from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. in the Meditation Room. A preparation
period with music is observed from noon to 12:15 p.m., and everyone is
asked to arrive quietly during that 15 minute period. The meditation period
is preceded by prayer at 12:15 p.m. and ends with prayer at 12:30 p.m.after
joining the meditation, individuals are asked to remain for the entire
period—thereby not disturbing other meditators.
Telephone
Usage
With the
permission of your supervisor, You have the privilege of using your department’s
business telephones for necessary personal telephone calls. Cell phones
are to be kept on low , vibrate or off while you are here to work. We
realize that your calls are important to you, but be mindful of co-worker’s
peace of mind.
Smoking
Smoking is permitted
in designated smoking areas all of which are outside. Please ask your
supervisor for the best smoking spots. |

The information
on volunteers assigned to the Conference Dept. is updated monthly and
made available by the H.Q. Volunteer Program. To verify the assignment
of a volunteer to work/support a specific conference, please contact
the conference facilitator or the Conference Dept.
All volunteers assigned
to work at a conference by a conference facilitator, are permitted to
attend for free only that portion of a conference to
which they have been assigned to work. They may not attend the full
day or the entire conference for free.
If the conference
volunteer is not of “Active Status” (72 hrs. of service
within 12 consecutive months), and wishes to attend a portion of a conference
or the entire conference, he or she is required to register
for the conference and pay the full fee required of all conferees at
the time of registration.
Family members
of volunteers are welcome for 50% off the registration fee and once
a year, for free.
Conference
Banquets, Parties, or brunches are not included in the regular

with free attendance.
