Here are just a few of the ways your
contributions support the work of A.R.E.:
Responding to Inquiries About this Work:
Each year, tens of thousands of individuals write or call A.R.E. for additional first-time information. Even with nonprofit postage, the cost of printing and mailing this information amounts to over $1.50 per individual. A donation of $25 enables us to respond to fifteen individuals.
Membership Scholarships:
Each year hundreds of people contact A.R.E. about joining the organization but are unable to do so because of a lack of funds. However, no one is ever turned away. $48 covers the cost of one membership.
Prison Outreach:
Apparently spread by word of mouth, thirty new inmates write A.R.E. every day of the week for reading and spiritual growth materials. Each inmate receives at least two books mailed directly to him or her. A.R.E.’s cost for those books and mailing is approximately $8.00 per inmate. Your donation of $80 would help us meet the needs of ten individuals behind bars.
Virginia Beach Visitor Center:
Open year-round, the Visitor Center greets approximately 70,000 visitors annually, introducing them to the life of Edgar Cayce and the work of A.R.E. It costs approximately $100,000 to keep the Visitor Center running each year. A donation of $275 covers the cost of keeping the Visitor Center open for one day.
At the heart of the Cayce readings are the small spiritual growth groups that work with the A Search for God materials. Your support helps us to network with hundreds of these groups throughout the world - individuals who are interested in the concept of personal transformation and contemporary spirituality.
In order to disseminate the Cayce material around the world, the international department maintains ongoing communications and
outreach to 40 countries and eighteen international Edgar Cayce centers.
Nearly 4,000 individuals are served each month by our
Prayer Services program.
The work of A.R.E. helps support the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy a unique program of massage, health, and Cayce's healing technologies that has graduated more than 500 students from over a dozen different countries.
Your contributions help underwrite a university program that began in 1930 - offering at-a-distance educational programs today in a variety of subjects as well as a Masters degree in Transpersonal Studies through Atlantic University (AU).
You help sponsor a modern-day Library of Alexandria - the A.R.E. Library - one of the largest libraries of its kind in the world, with more than 60,000 titles in the fields of psychology, parapsychology, spirituality, metaphysics, New Thought, and Ancient Mysteries.
Publishing a variety of manuals, books, audio and video tapes, and CDs on topics related to better health and happiness - physically, mentally, and spiritually.
