A.R.E. New Year’s Event Contributes to World Peace

Virginia Beach, Va. – Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. is inviting guests to ring in the New Year at their Virginia Beach headquarters while also offering its Annual New Year’s Conference.

Residents of Virginia Beach and neighboring cities are invited to attend any part of the event, which includes a full day lecture and workshop with Jan Watkins, JD, MSW, learning “tapping” Emotional Freedom Techniques Dec. 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. That same evening, attendees can gain skills in the art of Feng Shui as Peggy Joy Cross, ASID, presents Home and Heart = Happiness from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Then New Year’s Eve, start your morning off learning about and experiencing several different styles of meditation with Ellen Cayce and Corinne Cayce followed by a panel discussion of the Cayce material on Meditation, Prayer, and Study Group Work.  The entire afternoon is packed full of optional site tours and activities with a dinner break that’s followed by a 7 p.m. meditation. Then at 8 p.m., the New Year’s Eve party begins with DJ Deosil spinning the dance music. Participants will welcome the New Year with a peaceful but powerful meditation from 11:30 p.m. to midnight.

“The world can seem a divisive place nowadays,” said Judith Stevens, A.R.E.’s National Outreach Director and a featured presenter at the New Year’s Conference. “We invite our Virginia Beach neighbors and everyone from all beliefs near and far to join us to help create oneness, spread love and kindness, and contribute meaningful action for 2019—and beyond.”

Edgar Cayce founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented psychic readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The mission of A.R.E. is simply to create opportunities for profound personal change in body, mind, and spirit through the wisdom found in the Edgar Cayce material. The Virginia Beach headquarters is a popular site for locals and tourists with free daily lectures, a Health Center & Spa, the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage, an extensive metaphysical library, a meditation garden, a stone labyrinth, and a bookstore and gift shop. The campus is also home to Atlantic University which offers two masters degrees (Transpersonal Psychology and Mindful Leadership) through an online platform, as well as continuing education and certificate programs. Through A.R.E.’s many programs, services, publications, and membership outreach, individuals from all walks of life and religious backgrounds are provided with tools for personal transformation and healing at all levels.
