Donations to Atlantic University Now Tax Deductible in Canada

Virginia Beach, Va. – It took an act of the Canadian Parliament, but donations to Atlantic University are now tax-deductible within Canada to the full extent of the country’s laws. The decision is backdated to 2014, according to the Canada Revenue Agency’s website for “prescribed universities outside Canada.”

“Special thanks to A.R.E. Life Member and former Board member Christopher Yee for helping make this happen,” said Patrick Belisle, A.R.E. Development Director. “This change will help benefit the Cayce Work in the U.S., Canada, and around the world.” Reach Belisle at pat@EdgarCayce.org or 757-457-7126 to learn more about directing your donations from Canada or elsewhere.

Founded by spiritual philosopher and holistic healing pioneer Edgar Cayce in 1930, Atlantic University is distinguished as the first university founded in Virginia Beach. Atlantic University’s mission is to provide a high quality education that integrates body, mind, and spirit to help individuals achieve higher human potential and transform their lives, better understand their relationship to all life, and be of profound service to others. Nationally accredited, Atlantic University offers two masters degrees (Transpersonal Psychology and Mindful Leadership) through an online platform, as well as certificate programs and a Lifelong Learning program. The Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology degree has an emphasis on the fundamental oneness of all life, the notion that our essential nature as human beings is spiritual, and that learning must enrich and deepen our relationships to ourselves, to our families and communities, and to the global community. Within the Transpersonal Psychology degree, students can choose one of five concentrations to further hone their skills and knowledge: General Studies, Applied Spirituality, Creativity, Consciousness, and Leadership and Conflict Transformation. The Master of Arts in Mindful Leadership degree was designed to entwine mindful leadership theory and application with both personal and professional growth and the transformational practice of mindfulness. The Master of Arts in Mindful Leadership is a holistic approach to a significant and much needed social science. Other programs offered are graduate certificates in Regression Hypnosis and Mindful Leadership, as well as a certificate in Spiritual Mentoring. Atlantic University’s faculty is composed of highly acclaimed and qualified professionals including well-known authors and national lecturers. The University maintains an affiliation with Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) and is located on the A.R.E. campus. Cayce founded the non-profit A.R.E. in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The mission of A.R.E. is to create opportunities for profound personal change in body, mind, and spirit through the wisdom found in the Cayce readings. The Virginia Beach headquarters is a popular site for locals and tourists with free daily lectures, a Health Center & Spa, the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage, an extensive metaphysical library, a meditation garden, a stone labyrinth, and a bookstore and gift shop. Through A.R.E.’s many programs, services, publications, and membership outreach, individuals from all walks of life and religious backgrounds are provided with tools for personal transformation and healing at all levels—body, mind, and spirit.
