Virginia Beach, Va. – Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. was one of eight businesses recognized today by the Lynnhaven River NOW’s Pearl programs, recognizing sustainable actions and greener business practices. Kevin J. Todeschi, Executive Director & CEO of Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. accepted the award.
Founded in 2002, Lynnhaven River NOW (LRNow.org) is dedicated to protecting and restoring Virginia Beach waterways. As part of that commitment, LRNow has launched several Pearl programs in the Virginia Beach area. More than 4,000 homes have been recognized as “Pearl Homes,” 93 schools have been given the “Pearl Schools” designation, and eight local businesses have been identified as a “Pearl Business.”
Pearl Business Coordinator Helen Kuhns states that the Pearl Business recognition is awarded to businesses that implement practices and projects that reflect values of sustainable and environmental responsibility.
