Cindy Griffith, MA is a Psychic, Metaphysics Teacher and Huffington Post blogger; author of Soul Soothers: Mini Meditations for Busy Lives and Grow Your Spiritual Business. She graduated from Empire State College, with a Bachelor of Science in Spiritual Counseling and Healing and her Masters in Consciousness Development. She teaches metaphysics, spiritual and psychic development and topics relating to the Cayce teachings online through, at the Edgar Cayce Center in Virginia Beach and in Tokyo with Voice Workshops. Mark Thurston, Ph.D. is an educator, psychologist, and author of more than a dozen books about personal spirituality.  He is currently an associate professor at George Mason University in the School of Integrative Studies, and he serves as the faculty coordinator for a campus-wide undergraduate minor in well-being – including academic courses about mindfulness, resilience, and positive psychology.  Mark worked at A.R.E. and Atlantic University from 1973 to 2008, including periods in jobs such as A.R.E. Camp counselor (two full summers), youth activities coordinator, director of educational development, co-executive director, and for his final eight years in Virginia Beach as Atlantic University’s director of academic affairs.  Mark and his wife of 39 years Mary Elizabeth Lynch are co-founders of the non-profit educational organization the Personal Transformation and Courage Institute (, for which Mary Elizabeth serves as president.  They are parents of two adult children, and they also love their relatively new roles as grandparents.  More about his work can be found at





Cheryl Baer-Bernath, CHt is a former long-time A.R.E. staff member, professional singer and musician, and certified Hypnotherapist. A popular lecturer on dreams and reincarnation, and an avid journal keeper, she has been featured on various radio shows and publications.

Rachel Vincitore, MS (formerly Alvidrez) is a healer, certified yoga teacher, licensed massage therapist, and teacher. She is also an abstract artist whose work has appeared in various exhibits and shows.  She is currently Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management Services for Atlantic University, where she also teaches business for Atlantic University, and is on faculty at the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage Therapy.
