Retreat information and forms you can download (all PDFs)
Following are two sections that discuss how to register for this retreat. It is necessary to submit payment separately for your program tuition fee and your reservations for lodging, meals, and grounds day fees. Tuition fees are paid directly to A.R.E., 215 67th St., Virginia Beach, VA 23451. Please note on check the retreat name and date. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars only. Please read the information carefully to be sure to submit your registration and reservation payments appropriately.
RESERVATIONS FOR LODGING, MEALS & GROUNDS FEES :
All participants must be registered at Granlibakken. Reservations for Lodging, meals and grounds day fees must be made directly with Granlibakken’s Reservation Department at 800-543-3221 or go to Granlibakken.com Select event/group reservations. Enter Group ID & Password as: ARE18 and log in, then click Reservation Form. When filling out form be sure to specify your room preferences when making your registration by entering it in the “Special dietary or lodging restrictions” box..
Four main lodging types are available, either standard or deluxe: Bedroom Units, Townhouses, Studios, and Executive Lodges. Accommodations without stairs (limited availability) and double occupancy discount rates are available. A standard room can be a bedroom in a Townhouse, the main lodge, or other buildings on the property. A deluxe room is either a studio or executive lodge room. Please specify your preference when making your registration. If registering online, enter your preference in the "Special dietary or lodging restrictions" box. Granlibakken will make every effort to accommodate all requests for double occupancy; however, in the event a Roommate is not available, the single rate will apply.
A $100.00 per person deposit is due at the time of booking. Balance due 14 days prior to arrival (July 27, 2018). Please remit payment to: Granlibakken Conference Center, P.O. Box 6329, Tahoe City, CA 96145, or call 800-543-3221. Reservations are due by July 10 and any reservations received after this date are on a space available basis. CANCELLATION at any time is subject to a $25.00 handling fee. Reservations canceled after July 10 are charged $100.00 per person. No shows are charged 2 nights at the package rate. Participants who check-in a day late or checkout a day early are charged the full package rate unless the alternate arrival/departure dates are confirmed 72 hours in advance.
Lodging room check in time is 4:00 p.m. and checkout time is 11:00 a.m. Meals begin with dinner on Friday and end with lunch on Monday. Please notify Granlibakken of any special dietary restrictions when making your reservations.
TRANSPORTATION from the Reno/Tahoe Airport is available from Granlibakken at a cost of $98.00 per person (single rider) or $49.00 per person (2+ passengers) each way. 7 days prior notice and prepayment are required. Transportation cancellations or modifications received less than 24 hours prior to arrival or departure are non-refundable.
Register online or mail payment to A.R.E. Conference Registrar, 215 6th St., Virginia Beach, VA 23451. Please note on check that it is for Granlibakken. A registration confirmation will be sent to you. You will receive a welcome letter a few weeks before the program via email or U.S. mail if you do not have an email address. You will receive a program packet at registration check-in. Cancellations: Tuition refunds, less a $35 processing fee per person, are available by July 10. After July 10 there will be a late cancellation fee of $75 per person.
WHAT TO BRING:
Summer at Granlibakken Conference Center can bring all kinds of weather. Bring comfortable clothing (layering is good), a light jacket or raincoat in case of chilly evenings, and walking shoes. And do plan on enjoying the pool and tennis courts, so bring your swimwear and shorts!

DONATIONS TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND:
A scholarship fund based on donations enables the Retreat to offer limited scholarships to those needing financial aid. For information, contact the A.R.E. HQ Registrars. You are invited to donate to this fund, and all donations are tax deductible. Applications for scholarships on tuition only must be received by June 14.
The Local Area Team Bookstore provides an extensive selection of A.R.E. Press books and other quality books as well as health care products, CDs, DVDs, videos, and other gift items. Cash, checks, and most credit cards are accepted. Proceeds support the Local Area Team Bookstore.
AUCTION & RAFFLE:
Please bring your appropriate donations for the silent auction. Auction ends at 4 p.m. Sunday. Each year we receive some special items that we raffle off. If you would like to donate a special item (services, readings, etc.), please contact Sue Hayes at email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone: 415-383-5368. Funds raised during the auction will help support the retreat and scholarship fund. Raffle funds raised will go to support A.R.E. Northern California programs.

There is NO YOUTH PROGRAM. Youth ages 12–18 may register and attend the adult program with an adult at 50 percent of tuition price. Youth ages 0–18 are the full responsibility of their parent(s) at all times.
