With the discovery of epigenetics, our understanding of the fixed nature of our biology based on genetics has been called into question. Rather than seeing ourselves as victims of our biology, epigenetics points to the pivotal role that our beliefs play in the expression of our genes, our health, and our experience. The science of epigenetics is very much aligned with the teaching of Edgar Cayce, which states, “Mind is the builder.” In this webinar, based primarily on the work of Bruce Lipton, we will look at the scientific principles of epigenetics, reflect on the personal beliefs that have shaped our development, and look at how we can consciously work with the principles of epigenetics to change our experience.

Teresa has always been a spiritual seeker, following a path that has included being awarded a degree in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto, becoming a Reiki Master, and getting her certification as a Regression Hypnotherapist. She has recently retired from 32 years as an educational assistant, working with children with learning challenges and multiple exceptionalities. Since retiring, she is pursuing her spiritual work with great enthusiasm, training as a priestess, facilitating a women’s online group for soul growth and personal development called Wise Women Gathering, presenting workshops on various spiritual topics, and developing her hypnotherapy practice. Teresa has been the registrar for the Edgar Cayce Spiritual Retreat for the past 5 years and is also taking on the position of chair for the 2023 retreat. She enjoys weaving together all the spiritual practices that have resonated with her over the years and sharing them with others in order to help them raise their consciousness, find their own inner truth, and come to trust it.
