Request a Book for an Inmate

Thank you for your request for books. In light of the extraordinary health challenges we are all currently facing, we are temporarily suspending the Prison Outreach Program - something that has never happened in the 48 years the Program has been in operation. We will make every effort to correspond via mail when possible but will be unable to fill your book request at this time.

We are taking every preventative measure to ensure the safety of our staff and volunteers and once this health crisis is resolved, we will resume the operations of our Prison Outreach Program.

In the meantime, thank you for your understanding, your patience and your prayers.

Yours in service,

The A.R.E. Prison Outreach Team

Please take a moment to review the process and guidelines before completing your book request.

  • This program provides free books to individual inmates related to the principles outlined in the Edgar Cayce readings.
  • We offer a variety of books on prayer, meditation, ancient mysteries, dreams, death and the afterlife, reincarnation and karma, the Bible, universal laws, self-transformation, and prophecy.
  • Please request a specific topic instead of specific title, because our inventory constantly changes. However, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
  • Please limit your book requests to every four months. You must contact us in order to receive books; we do not automatically send them.
  • Please fill out the book request form completely, including the inmate’s first and last name as well as the inmate’s ID number.  The information must be accurate or books will be returned.
  • Additional approval forms may be required depending on the inmate’s institution. If you are aware of additional paperwork, please let us know and we will hold the book request until all necessary forms are received.
  • Due to the volume of letters, our volunteers cannot always respond personally to the inmate.  We try to respond with a personal note to every person who contacts us.
